"Mateo, please just come on." I sighed as he ran, and giggled, "oaky then fine. We're not going to go get ice-cream."
He kept giggling, and running as I slowly walked behind him with his left shoe in my hand, so I just gave up, and sat on the floor.
It had only been yesterday that I had left Emilio, but it felt like forever.
My heart ached, and yearned for him, and I kept checking my phone for any texts or missed calls, but every time that I checked there weren't any.
Wow.
I guess that he's really just going to let me leave like I did huh?
"Mateo, I swear to God." I said looking at his cheeky little face, and all I could see was his father's face, "Mateo, please. Mommy is already tired. Don't you want to go see dada?"
"Dada?" he asked, his eyes lighting up, and he ran over to me, and I took this opportunity to grab him, and finally put his last shoe on.
"Finally. Is that the magic word for you?" I asked, and he smiled.
