Lady Melissa drank a glass of water as she thought of a way to answer Duke Gaston's questions, she wouldn't call them 'exclusive' but at the same time, she herself didn't know what they were.
"We're friends, with benefits."
Lady Melissa said as she looked at Duke Gaston, a seemingly blank expression on his face as the woman deduced that he was probably hiding his feelings or something.
"This relationship that we share with each other, it's special, I've never met someone like you, someone as kind and caring as you, yet at the same time ready to sacrifice his life if needed."
Lady Melissa said, continuing her sentence from earlier.
"As for the last question, I think I'd like for us to be more than friends, it's just that now isn't the best time for us to be more than that, the both of us have something important in our lives."
Lady Melissa said as Duke Gaston stayed silent the entire time.
