Lady Melissa let out a sigh once she was inside of the carriage- she honestly didn't even know why she still had expectations from her parents when they weren't even doing the bare minimum, perhaps it was because of that little hope she had in her heart- that one day they'd all be some sort of happy family and not a dysfunctional one instead.
With every day that passed, Lady Melissa grew more and more convinced that her parents didn't genuinely care for her, or technically that was the usual typical noble family, a set of parents who pretended they cared in front of the public and the media- but behind closed doors, it was all a set up.
It was disappointing for Lady Melissa, knowing that the vast majority of families filled with nobles did this- acting so perfect for the media and the public, but they would act the complete opposite behind closed doors.
