It was very clear that out of the three of them, the most responsible one would be Duke Alphonso. Although Duke Gaston was normally responsible by himself, Duke Mason could irritate him.
And that could lead the both of them to a fight, which Lady Melissa was sure that Duke Mason would love to have with Duke Gaston.
Duke Alphonso was a calm and collected man, so he didn't like fighting, at least not physically, he much preferred verbal insults.
