Trigger warning:blood
Another one of the ways to cast a spell, if a person wasn't the sufficient level for it, was to use their blood as an offering, though it would take around 200-300 milliliters of blood for her to cast the spell.
Looks like Lady Melissa had no other choice, it would take too much time for her to use her usual route and she wanted to save some of her energy for the rest of the day.
'Oh well, luckily for me, I don't have hemophobia (the phobia of blood), or else I'd be screwed.'
Lady Melissa thought, feeling bad for people who had hemophobia but that feeling of hers quickly faded as she remembered that life wasn't fair.
Just as Lady Melissa was going to start thinking about him, the servant had suddenly reappeared with a dish in his hand, which Lady Melissa assumed was hers.
After all, there was no one else at the dining table, so it had to be hers right? Unless there was some ghost or person she hadn't realized was sitting there the entire time.
Lady Melissa turned around, feeling as if she was in a movie, where there was going to be something proving her statement completely wrong.
Lady Melissa slowly turned her head around, her heart beating quickly, while the servant simply stayed silent, watching Lady Melissa in amusement.
Lady Melissa let out a sigh of relief, only now remembering that the servant had been right beside her, standing the entire time, and the worst part?
The servant stayed silent, not even saying anything to Lady Melissa, well technically if he did Lady Melissa would have a mini heart-attack but that wasn't the point.
The servant quickly realised that Lady Melissa was staring at him, clearing his throat to serve her dish.
"Ehm.."
The servant said, clearing his throat.
"Here is your breakfast Lady Melissa, I hope you enjoy it."
The servant said, bowing his head down as Lady Melissa did not utter a single word, only shooing him away.
Lady Melissa opened the dish, and used her knife and fork, lo and behold there was a creatively cooked egg, some bacon and most importantly french fries.
The chef knew Lady Melissa's taste all too well.
Lady Melissa quickly picked up her utensils, and then began to cut the bacon into small pieces as her mouth wasn't that big for her to be able to eat one whole bacon in one go, and she had picked up some eating manners during her etiquette lessons, so she couldn't make her teacher disappointed in her if her teacher found out.
'I'll finish the food quickly so I have more time to prepare myself for the spell when going to Baron Kevin's house. Hopefully I enter his room, I mean I should be able to enter it as long as I have a vivid image of what the room looks like.'
Lady Melissa thought to herself, the only way she could transport herself to somewhere was that she had a vivid image of the place in her mind, if some of the significant details were wrong, she would be transported into somewhere else, which would be a completely random place, from anywhere in the world.
Which meant that if she imagined the place wrongly she could basically be transported into another country! Such as China or Singapore or heck maybe even malaysia.
Which, for the record, Lady Melissa hadn't gone to, after all, how was she even supposed to get there? I mean there were always ships for her to use but.....spending MONTHS and maybe even years to get there? In a language where she couldn't even speak no less? Definitely not worth it for her.
She was content with London, at least for the time being.
Soon after, Lady Melissa finished her breakfast quickly making up the stairs to prepare herself, she had already showered earlier so she just needed to prepare herself for the spell.
Lady Melissa decided that she should probably do the spell in her bathroom, after all she didn't want anyone accidentally coming in in the middle of her spell, seeing blood.
Lady Melissa quickly entered her room, gently and quickly closing the door before curiously checking the time.
It was currently 6.30 AM so she had exactly 30 minutes to prepare herself for the spell and Baron Kevin's estate.
Lady Melissa took a deep breath, she had taken her knife that she so randomly had in her dressing room ( don't ask why it was even there).
She was prepared to cut her tongue since it would produce a lot of blood, and it healed quickly as well, Lady Melissa would also make sure to cut it from the back, so nobody would notice, especially when she talked since it would be pretty obvious if she had decided to cut it in the front part of her tongue.
Well she could use her gums or her lips, but that would be too visible and obvious, although the gums and lips would heal pretty quickly.
She didn't want anyone finding out though, and technically the gums wouldn't be that visible if she had decided to cut it, but it would be difficult for her to get the blood.
Lady Melissa took a deep breath, she had spent too much time pondering about it, and she should just get the job done NOW.
Lady Melissa took the knife, quickly using her hands to put it inside her mouth, cutting the back part of her tongue open, although not the whole thing of course, the cut was quite big.
'That wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, huh.'
Lady Melissa thought, surprised that the pain wasn't that bad, but she quickly brushed it off, getting her empty plastic cup to put in the blood inside of it so she would be able to cast her spell.
Lady Melissa was bleeding A LOT, and she didn't want to waste a single drop of her blood so she quickly ran and tried to open her tongue, her blood dropping little by little every second.
Lady Melissa then quickly cast a spell, one which wasn't that hard for her, so she didn't have to use any of her blood for it.
