Linda was waiting patiently for prince Obi to bring the first aid kit and when he had ,she slowly and carefully stood up ,made him to sit on the bed and began to treat his wound. She first of all wipe the edges with a cotton wool then added iodine to wipe away the germs. When she applied the iodine he hissed in pain "Sorry" she said and began to blow air into the wound to reduce the pain.
When she was done with bandaging his leg , she tried to return the kit but he told her not to bother that he will do that.
He made her sit on the bed and told her to take her medicine which she did.
Immediately she took the medicine,she became dizzy and decided to lie down to rest but soon fell asleep Instead.Prince Obi looked at her and decided to rest on the bed besides her and he also fell asleep afterward, for he was so tired after going in search of his wife. So ,that day they both slept on the same bed and besides each other.
The next morning Linda was the first person to wake up. She stood up slowly so as not to wake the prince . She went and had her bath then went to get his food for him from the canteen.
When she came back ,she saw prince Obi trying to stand up but couldn't because his leg had swelled up so every step he tried to take was really painful for him. Linda quickly rushed towards him and stopped him from trying to walk. " Please your highness,do not try to put the feet on the ground again as that will worsen the matter". she said as she helped him to sit down back on the bed .
"Here ,have your food" She said as she dropped his breakfast of pancake ,scotched egg and coffee for him to have . But he refused and said he wasn't hungry but Linda wouldn't hear any of that and began to feed him.
"Please open your mouth and eat. I know that since I went missing you haven't had anything to eat so please have this to revive your energy for you" she said.
. The prince reluctantly open up his mouth and and she began to feed him. Like that she fed him all of his breakfast and told him to sit down until the food digest.
As she was about to go, he held her hands and asked her if she had eaten. At first she wanted to say yes but then when she looked into his eyes she just couldn't lie to him so she told him that she haven't eaten.
"You haven't eaten and you're forcing me to have my own food" He asked her. She couldn't reply . He pressed a switch beside him which gave a ringing sound . Immediately,a waiter came in. "How may I help you sir? He asked . "Please get me pancakes, scotched egg and a cup of coffee"prince Obi told him. An he left to get the order.
"I didn't know that this switch was meant to be used to usher in the the waiters when we need help" Linda said.
" well now you know,so please stop going down just ask the waiters to get you your food ,that's all. Only when you feel like going on your own then you can go".
Soon , the waiter brought in the food and dropped it ,before leaving. As Linda wanted to carry it , prince Obi carried the food and told Linda to sit down beside him then he began to feed her also just like the way she fed him and she decided not to react but allowed him to fed her .
When he had fed her finished,he pressed the switch and the waiter came to take the plate out. Not knowing what else to do and not wanting to leave the prince all by himself,she decided to pick up a novel which she brought along to read.
While Linda was reading the prince was feeling bored and didn't like the silence which was making feel uncomfortable,he told Linda to help him switch on the television which she did.
"Let me get something" she said and went to her luggage to search for the thing . When she returned she was with a disk . She told him that she had intended to watch the film for a long time but because she was always busy and rarely remember about the movie, she couldn't watch it.
Prince Obi was happy about it and told her to put it on for them to watch . They both sat down together to watch it but before the movie started Linda stood up and went to get something,she brought popcorn. " I love eating popcorn while watching movie it makes it more interesting" she told him. Prince Obi wanted to tell her that he also love doing the same thing but decided against it.
When the movie started,the both of them were ready and switched off the light to make the movie more lively and interesting for them. As the movie started Linda realized that it was a horror movie . She wanted to tell prince Obi that she doesn't like the movie but when she saw all his focus and concentration set on the movie, she had no choice but to watch it ,which was a bad idea for her .
Soon, the movie became more scarier as she heard the scream of the people in the movie,it was really terrifying her. Most of the action in the movie took place at night. Linda began to feel really scared and shifted nearer to the prince. Prince Obi have not yet noticed what was happening as he was too engrossed in the movie.
Slowly,the weather began to change and the clouds was gathering. It was getting dark and darker but none of them noticed as they were both engrossed in what they were watching.
Suddenly,there was a thunder bolt and lightening. Linda screamed in horror and without thinking hugged the prince and closed her eyes. The prince was taken aback and looked at her face only to realize that she had been crying. She was truly shaken. The horror movie combined with the sudden change of the weather had left her almost traumatized.
Prince Obi took the remote and switched off the television , then stood up carefully to close the windows. "You should have told me that you hate horror movie ,then I would have switched it off since " prince Obi said to her. " sorry.... thought that ..that since you loved...you loved the movie... I shouldn't disturb you" Linda said with a shaking voice. She was truly terrified.
Prince Obi came on the bed and sat beside her. She quickly came closer to him and he not knowing what to do cuddled her to stop her fear from having the better part of her .
Soon she was fast asleep he laid her beside him and covered her up. He looked at her face and found himself admiring her " What's this feeling am having towards her, always wanting to see her happy,hate to see tears in her eyes and when she looks at me I seem to lose control of myself?" prince Obi asked himself.
He watched her peaceful face until his gaze fell on her lips . Again he had the urge to kiss her like the last time. He bent over her and was about to kiss her when she turned and faced the other side of the bed. He signed after getting himself back, he laid down beside her to rest.
Soon Linda turned facing the prince again. He again couldn't take his eyes off her . She was so close to him that he felt her breath on his face. He couldn't move because if he does then their lips will surely touch each other. He was still staring at her then Linda tried to move which touched her lips to his and that made her to open her eyes .
When her eyes were open, she saw what was happening but instead the two of them were just staring at each other not knowing what to do. Prince Obi then slowly kissed her ,she was shocked at first but didn't withdraw. He took that as a go on for her and kissed her again,this time more intensely and passionately.
Soon ,Linda also began to kiss him and they were both lost in their own love world . As they held each other like as if they wouldn't leave each other again. It seems like they both have been waiting for this moment. With the kiss,they expressed all of their unknown and hidden desire and love for each other.
When they stopped kissing each other,they were both left breathless. They were staring at each other's eyes not knowing what to say. Linda said to him" I'm sorry, didn't mean to start this"
"No ,no ,you don't have to be sorry...it's okay,you did nothing wrong ,after all we're married to each other" He held her by the hands and kissed her hand. Linda didn't understand what he was doing but she did the only thing that was in her mind, which she did. She hugged him and he responded by hugging her back.
Linda felt somehow at peace . She doesn't know what this new feeling she was having towerd the prince was but all she knew was that she wouldn't let go of this new found love.
After a moment,they released each other . "Sorry about the way I've been treating you earlier didn't mean to " prince Obi apologized to Linda . "No you don't have to,it wasn't intentional"
" Hungry?" Linda asked him with a smile . " No am not ,just want you by my side " He replied with a smile. She came and hugged then gave him a peck on the forehead.
She hugged him and snuggled beside him. Prince Obi felt at peace as he held her and he wished that moment should never end..but will this their love last forever or is it just a short time love?
