The ransom note was specific, everyone wanted to know the hidden agenda but putting people's lives at stake was new. Zoete wanted to be part of Samantha's rescue, she persisted her father but Michael advised against it. "no, its a trap for revealing you identity, we cannot give in easily.
Zoete replied," Father, I must save her, it's double my fault she was taken and the note clearly wants me". Michael told Simone, Tom and Kristen to watch over Zoete, they agreed but that did not stop the adamant teen from planning to rescue her little sister.
Arthur came to the thugs who were confused, one of them came forward "Boss, why would you want to kidnap your daughter?" Arthur slapped the thug, "you idiots, she's not my but look like her, this is a warning never question my plans, just keep a look out and do not touch her", then he left and the tied up Samantha heard everything and became puzzled.
It's been a day, Zoete has always been the quiet one but no more, she had decided so she acted on it. This mission she prepared to do it alone, she faked being sick during the lecture and left a note in Simone's locker noticing her father about her plans.
"Father, I will be going alone, I owe it to her" Michael sighed (as Simone showed his the note) "please do not try to stop me". Zoete sat down and planned her forward steps, the rescue remained unknown, the thugs got imprisoned and revealed Michael's business nemesis Arthur Jordan was behind the kidnapping.
Arthur was taken in for questioning but since there was no substantial evidence, he bailed himself out after as all riches get away with murder. Zoete gave it days and finally she faced Samantha "sister, you are so important to me than love affection so if it makes you happy, I will never be with Herny" then she paused audibly.
Samantha with a face "sister, when are you going to stop playing with your feelings. I am so sorry for the way I acted, when I saw you together but I have always known how you feel about him and I want you to be happy". They reconciled, hugged and continued happily chatting.
Finally the mute was over...thinking the joyful brother Simone seeing his sisters over the balcony. He teased them "hey are yall trying to kill yourself or my buddy want a lucky guy". The pair saw him and furiously chased him as he was looking for a beating. Along the way he was smiling as he ran.
Michael was pleased as the kids were back at the mansion, he asked the chefs to cook French cuisine for dinner. During dinner, the family sat down, prayed and enjoyed the feast, then Zoete sat up and told them, she was going to announce her identity to the world following what happened to Samantha, fearing it can happen again.
Zoete told them about her findings, Arthur has been running DNA matches but the information she gathered was half truth, all was mute at the table, Samantha then told them Arthur also said she looked like his daughter, shockingly this complete the DNA finding was a complete match.
This was very disturbing news, the same DNA is only for twins but was of now that is Samantha's twin died at birth. The kids looked at their father, the question lingering but no one uttered. After dinner, Michael asked Zoete if the revelation was about Samantha.
Zoete declined and told her father about what happened before Samantha's kidnap. Michael joked "when do I get to meet him?" she laughed and her father convinced her that she is to recall that it will be hard if she came unknown so she promises to wait like she vowed before.
Michael left the dining for bed and saw light at Samantha's bedroom, he came in and found her crying. He hasten, hugged her and could see she was still in shock. Samantha missed her mom more, she talked to him and then went to bed. Her father sat at bedside till she dozed off then switch off the bedside lamp and kiss her forehead goodnight.
Varsity was near mid-term holidays, Zoete was longing for her grandmother so she decided to pay a week visit back in the rural areas of St. Lucia. Brandon pleaded to come as he never been to a rural place before so she agreed and they set off. The other siblings decided to hit the beach.
