" Stay right here My flower, stay!" Mandana said to the wet 3 years old child whom she hid inside a cave. She then turned over and screamed in horror as her beloved was hit all over with arrows. He fell on his knees, blood flowing all over on him, he smiled and nodded at her. "Vahid" she muttered with a silent shaky lips that dripped with rain water falling from the sky. Vahid shouted "save my flower Mandana, keep her safe" then he fell flat dead. Mandana then took her child in her arms as she ran with the speed of light, or so she thought. The child looked back, the child saw it's father corpse lying dead on the ground "papa" the child muttered silently an held its hands out calling over its father. The Persian soldiers were closing in on her, she stopped on her tracks, looked around the wild scary forest and then at her child. Then she kissed her baby and wore her the bracelet which was on her own hand and hid her in the bushes close by. She waved over at the soldiers distracting them and led them away from her child. As soon as the soldiers caught up with her, she brought out a small dagger to defend herself from a feisty soldier who got annoyed and struck her dead. They started looking for the child but after hours of searching they concluded that the child was dead
"Am tired there's nobody here" said one soldier to the other who was scavenging the dead bodies of villagers who laid around
"Master won't be very happy if he finds out we lost the child" replied the other to the first soldier
"The child is probably dead, there's no way the child survived the random arrows that were shot" another spoke up " that's what we'll tell him, the child is dead " then picking up a random dead body of a baby boy" we'll use this as an evidence just in case". They all agreed and left. The little child sat still in the bush, shivering and crying "mama, papa?" She uttered in a shaky baby voice but no one came to her, no one was there to console her, hug her, dry her up or to sing her to sleep. She closed her eyes and slowly drifted into a sleep.
Hours later the little child woke up to voices that were loud' she stood up from where she hid and walked towards the voices. As she got nearer, someone grabbed hold of her shoulders and covered her mouth with a palm. The child looked toward the person who carried her and she caught sight of a hazel colored eyes of a woman. "What are you doing here?" She asked the child, after waiting for a while, seeing no response from the child the woman continued "there's no doubt that your parents are not alive but don't worry I'll take good care of you, you will stay with me and I too". She took the child, and mounted it he child on her horse and they left.
