Chapter 109 - Chapter 108

"You better wake up if you want to see your sister again."

His heavy eyelids opened, and he grimaced at the sudden pain that assaulted his senses.

It was as if his entire body was on fire, and it was telling because fire could not harm him.

He sharply inhaled the air, filling his lungs to their limits against the stinging pain, and then he slowly exhaled, allowing his mind to regain some clarity.

When he looked around, he found himself lying amidst the ruins of a city, and even though the place looked unfamiliar to him, he knew where he was.

And it was truly a miracle that he had managed to make it here before he fainted.

Sin gritted his teeth as he sat up, wincing some more at the pain, and then he glanced to his left, where the Birkan's corpse was lying, a little away from him.

He sighed in his heart and then stood up before taking a good look around, and then he picked out his pocket watch and was quite relieved that it had survived.

Only a few hours had passed since the battle began, and he smiled in relief.

"Let's search for the Island you were talking about." He said and then picked up the body of the Birkan before he flew up in the air.

As he reached higher and higher up in the Air, he came across an Island Cloud, upon which was a small earthly Island, and on the Island was a hundred of metres tall tower, which he was very familiar with.

After all, this Tower had been his prison for four years.

Sin quickly deduced which direction was North, and then he was off.

Seconds later, he frowned when he only saw clouds all around, and no Island, and he was pretty sure that he was exactly 110 Miles away from Birka right now.

Enel had not lied to him. He had sensed the man speak the truth, and that meant that the Island was likely hidden in one of the clouds around him.

He quickly used his Observation Haki, amplifying it greatly, and he soon picked up the signatures of small living creatures and heard their voices.

A bright smile bloomed on his face and then he shot straight into the cloud that was a little away from him, on his right.

It was an Earthly Island, hidden in the clouds, not exactly small, and he could see the destroyed laboratory as he descended to the ground.

The first thing he did after landing was to dig up a grave with his hands, and he dug it up without any haste.

Since the Birkan had not lied to him, he was going to show some final respect to him, and he gave the fallen Birkan a proper burial.

Once he was done, he looked around and was elated at how healthy the trees on the Island were. And then he began his search around the place.

There were a few thousand trees in the place, but what Sin was looking for were younger trees, a few decades old, unlike the centuries-old trees that stood proudly on the Island.

It significantly made the search easier for him, and as fate would have it, he found himself standing under a beautiful orange tree, staring at a blue Devil Fruit that was hanging on it.

His instincts told him this was what he was looking for, but since he did not know what the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Thunderbird looked like, and there was a possibility that there could be more Devil Fruits here, he continued with his search. And only after he had checked every young tree, and then the old trees, just to be sure, he smiled as he looked at the Devil Fruit in his hand.

It was an extremely precious Fruit and a power that would drive people to kill each other over it, and now, it was going to belong to someone in his family.

How could he not be happy?

However, soon he winced as the pain in his body intensified, and he felt a little dizzy.

Sin knew he needed to get some rest and get some treatment too, and though he felt incredibly weak for another flight, he still rushed towards Skypiea to not worry his family too much.

On the other side, there was an incredible tension in the air as the Blackstar Crew stood in the middle of the Milky River, atop an Iron Cloud Bride, with the Skypieans on their left and the Shandian Warriors on their right.

There was also an Old Man, who was dressed like a Knight, sitting on top of his ugly flying horse.

By the expressions of the Shandians, it was clear that they were enraged, and the Skypieans just looked extremely worried, praying in their hearts that God Enel would not return. And more than anything, they hoped that the Blackstar Crew would protect them right now.

The only thing stopping the Shandian Warriors from killing them was this group of incredibly strong people, who had defeated the God's Army and the God's Priests. And the Divine Squad, which had been rescued a few hours ago by Gan Fall, was in no position to fight against anyone.

If they fought the Shandians right now, every Skypiean on the Upper Yard today would die.

"This is our land!" A young, hot-blooded Shandian, shouted out, and he aimed his Bazooka at the Blackstar Crew.

He found it hard to control himself as his hateful enemies stood on the other side, at their weakest, ready to be slaughtered.

With their deaths, every fallen Shandian would be avenged, and yet his companions were cowering at this moment.

And they were even silent when these bold Blue Sea Dwellers claimed that Skypiea now belonged to them, and it included the Upper Yard as well.

However, as soon as everyone heard his words, they felt cold chills run up their spines, and their bodies trembled as they saw the girl leading the Blue Sea Dwellers glance at them.

"By the right of conquest, it's ours to rule now." The raven-haired girl spoke with authority, and her voice was clearly heard by every single person present on both sides of the Milky River. "You are welcome to live here as freely as you want, and so can the Skypieans. But if you stand up against us, you will suffer grievous consequences."

Robin could sense that neither the Shandians nor the Skypieans were keen on living together in harmony. And how could they?

There were centuries of blood feuds between the two races, and the generational hatred would take quite some time to abate.

And it was only possible if both the races were brought under the same rule.

"How are you so sure that your Captain will be the one to return and not Enel?" The Old Knight asked, and Robin smiled at him.

"Because my brother will always come back to me." She confidently said.

"Hmph!" The Pinkhead, who was standing on her right, was seemingly not pleased by her words, but the Black simply ignored her.

"Do want to reclaim your old Position back, Old Man? I don't mind killing you off if you hold such a desire and refuse to submit."

Robin's words suddenly tensed every Skypiean in the vicinity, and Shandians, on the other hand, were surprised.

Some even hatefully looked towards Gan Fall, and hoped that he would challenge the girl and meet his end, but to their disappointment, the old man shook his head.

"Your brother saved every soul on Skypiea when Enel targeted them. I am indebted to him for that. And if he wishes to rule us as our God, then I have no objection to it."

"At least, you are not ungrateful." Yamato, who was now sitting on top of Giant Bird, up in the air, appreciatively nodded her head.

Gan Fall's words reminded everyone about what had happened hours ago, and even the Shandians frowned.

No one present there could deny that they would have died if those Wind Blades that rained from the sky reached them, or at least, they would have lost someone dear to them.

The reason that every person on Skypiea was still alive was the Captain of these Blue Sea Dwellers.

And yet, an ungrateful brat scoffed.

"It was your Captain who started the fight."

It was the same young man who was carrying a Bazooka, and even his companions frowned at his words.

"Wyper!" A young girl, who was a couple of years younger than the boy, glared at him for his words. "They are allowing us to live here and return to our home..."

"It is not their land!" The young boy shouted at her, which scared her a little, but then all their focus was on the old man, who had suddenly stepped forward.

"Chief..." The Shandians worriedly called out to him, but the man kept walking until he arrived at the edge of the river.

"You would allow us to return to our home and live here freely?" He asked, and Robin unhesitantly nodded her head.

"It's your home, after all." She smiled.

"The Shandians will then accept your Brother as the God when he returns." The Chief promised, and his tribe was stunned at his words.

"Chief..."

"If anyone from my tribe stands up against you, I will kill myself for failing to keep my promise." The old man cut Wyper off, and his tribe looked at him in disbelief.

Even Wyper clenched his fists and gritted his teeth before he lowered his head, and everyone else did the same.

"You are wise, Old Man."

A voice suddenly reverberated in the vicinity, and everyone instinctively raised their heads to look at the sky, where a figure was standing in the air.

"Enel is dead. And I accept your submission."

As soon as he said those words, they saw him leave in a flash of Lightning, heading towards Angel Island.

"Go, return to the land which you call your home."

And with the words he left behind, a new era began on Skypiea. An Era that started with the rule of their new God, Black D. Sin.
