Chapter 106 - Chapter 105

"What power is this?" Enel frowned as he stared at the Aura that was surrounding Sin's fists now.

He knew that the reason his Ren was failing him was this strange Aura, and he was quite unsettled in his heart that despite being able to see the future, he could not completely evade the attacks because his enemy was faster than him.

"I will answer your question if you tell me something." Sin smiled. "Where did you find the Devil Fruit?"

"Why do you want to know that?" Enel stopped in the air and curiously looked at him.

"Just curious. And was there Mors' Laboratory nearby?"

The Birkan frowned at his line of questioning but eventually nodded his head.

"Yes. It's a small uninhabited Island in the Sky, north of Birka, around 110 Miles away. Mors had a Laboratory there."

Sin nodded to him, sensing that he was telling the truth.

"This Aura you see is the result of me Infusing my body with my Conqueror's Haki, quite similar to how Ren works." He answered Enel's question. "It gives a further boost in power behind your attacks."

Enel narrowed his eyes at him and immediately started racking his brains to try and do the same.

He frowned as he saw Sin patiently waiting for him to give it a try, and he doubtfully looked at him.

"Was that a lie?"

"No," The Black chuckled. "Only those who possess incredible Conqueror's Haki can reach the level of Infusion. You wouldn't be able to achieve it. At least, not yet. Also, I have still not perfected it." He looked at his fist and clenched it hard. "I can feel that there's a lot more in this technique that I am yet to tap into."

Sin, of course, did not tell the man that Infusion was incredibly taxing on one's body, especially if they had not fully tapped into it, and he could not keep going for long.

The chat had allowed him to get some needed rest of a minute, and it had allowed him the time to come up with a plan, but he now had to end things fast.

Enel saw him coming even before Sin reached him, and the tall man just ducked, avoiding his kick. He then spun the trident in his hand before trying to pierce his side.

A loud thud sounded out as he blocked the weapon with his bare hand once again, but this time, instead of attacking Enel, he sent electricity charging through the trident and melted it right away.

Enel let go of his weapon when he saw the melted gold try and wrap around his hand, and he smashed his kick right into Sin's body, which hit the target, but instead of following up with another attack, he immediately used his wings to defend against the powerful pillar of Lightning that struck him from the sky.

Sin turned the melted Gold into a ball, and then let it fall from the sky.

He grimly looked at the Birkan and then raised his right hand towards the Sky.

"Shackles!"

His voice fell into Enel's eyes, and the Birkan immediately tried to escape and almost succeeded. However, Lightning Chains fell from the Sky and cages him until they bound him in place, locking all his limbs.

Soon, the constant stream of Lightning started causing him some discomfort, and he frowned when he felt his skin burn.

However, his mind was still focused on the battle, and he grinned when he saw Sin rush at him to finish him.

Everything happened in an instant after that, and hundreds of thousands of sharp Air Blades suddenly dropped from the clouds and rained on Skypiea.

Enel's body too was suddenly surrounded by a cage of innumerable Air Needles, hiding it from Sin's eyes, and though the Black remained focused on the task, he gritted his teeth as soon as his fist touched the wind cage.

There was no time to push it because, in a couple of seconds, thousands of people were going to die.

The Birkan was targeting the innocent people of Angel Island, and the Shandian People, who were gathering outside the Upper Yard. It was an effort to distract him, and he succeeded again because Sin could not just let the people die.

Putting all his focus on the Hundreds of Thousands of Air Blades that were raining from the Sky, he targeted them all with the Lightning Bolts, pushing his Observation Haki to its limits.

And even when Enel broke free of the Lightning Chains and then attacked him with piercing Air Blades, he kept his focus on eliminating the Air Blades that were falling on Skypiea.

The scene was truly apocalyptic for anyone who was witnessing it, and it seemed like everything was going to come to an end today.

Innumerable Air Needles tried to pierce his body, which his Armament Haki, and the Infusion of Conqueror's Haki, fought against to their limits. But when Enel started hurling a barrage of strong punches on him, it knocked the breath out of him, and he was again sent shooting down towards the Upper Yard.

And right as he was falling and the crash occurred, a memory surfaced in his mind.

"You care too much, Sin. You even care for the people you shouldn't be concerned about." The tall man who bore similar features as him, disappointedly shook his head. "It's a glaring weakness that people will exploit."

He clearly had no remorse for the dead children, who had lost their lives today under his experiments, and he seemed completely undisturbed by the presence of their dead bodies on the tables around them.

"And do you know what the world does to such people? It exploits them, pushes them to their limits, sucks the life of them, and then abandons them when the time comes where they have to return the favour."

"What do you know about caring, Mors? Have you ever cared for anyone?" He mocked the man, whose eyes glinted at his questions.

Sin distinctly remembered the ring around his pupil, which always weighed on his heart.

"Ahahahahaha..." Seeing the anger in his eyes, the Madman laughed and then turned around to fill up the injection with a Serum. "Don't die, Brat. Remember that your little sister will be left alone if you are gone. I might bring her here next." He sinisterly said and then injected the Serum into his body.

"I will kill you! I will kill you!" He tried to struggle against the Sea Stone shackles and hated how powerless he felt.

"That is if you can survive this day." The man kept laughing, and then his cold grey eyes looked at him again. "I have high hopes for you, Brat. Don't let me down." Mors said and then walked away from the table.

Sin hated the man, but he could never deny that he revered him a lot too. After all, the man was a genius, and ridiculously strong too. And was that fondness for him that he saw in Mors eyes at certain moments? He would never know.

He remembered how cold it felt the last time his body was injected with that Serum and darkness enveloped him, stealing away his senses. This time was no different, but he had to survive, and he had to live.

"Robin..."

"Robin..." Sin smiled as he sensed his sister freeze the Air Blades that he had failed to intercept in time, and then took a deep breath.

He looked at Enel who was proudly flapping his wings in the air, looking down at him, wearing a mocking smile on his face.

"Behold the Power of a True God!" The Birkan raised his arms in the air, and soon a terrifying storm started brewing over Skypiea. "You can control Lightning, but can you control Wind?"

Sin watched as Enel created hundreds of thousands of more Air Blades, and at the same time, he formed a dozen Serpentine Dragons with the Wind.

"Rumble..." Sin closed his eyes, still able to see and sense things, just in another way, and fingers twitched a little.

Soon, hundreds of thousands of blasts were heard in the sky as the lightning strikes once again eliminated the Air Blades had rained down on Skypiea.

"Divine Judgement!"

His eyes opened, pulsating with electricity, just as he heard Enel's words, and he rushed up to meet the Wind Dragons that were rushing at him.

He could not simply dodge them as he knew that Enel was targeting Bonney and Kuina with them, so, he coated his entire body in Lightning, taking the form of a Lightning Spirit, and then pierced right through the attacks, obliterating it in a blink of an eye.

And as he headed towards his enemy, who was waiting for him with a Trident that he had made out of innumerable Air Needles, another memory resurfaced in his mind.

"It's an extremely special Devil Fruit, Brat." Mors smiled as he showed him a round, pear-shaped, golden Devil Fruit, which was in his left hand. "You will not find it in the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia either. Guess what it is? I will give you a hint. It's a Logia."

Sin stared at the Devil Fruit and narrowed his eyes at the jagged outgrowths that resembled sparks of electricity.

"Lightning."

"Bingo!" The man laughed. "Believe it or not kid, this Devil Fruit is comparable to our Family's Treasures. And in my opinion, it is the most versatile Logia Devil Fruit in existence. It has the powers that even make me envy." There was a light smile on his lips as he looked at the Fruit in his left hand. "I stumbled across it by chance when I visited an Ancient Sky Temple, and even the Valorians living on the Island had no idea that it was hidden there."

"Why is it the most versatile Logia?"

"Don't you know what Lightning is and what it is capable of creating?" He grinned.

Seeing the horror on the face of the Birkan, who had just seen the future, a smile crossed his lips.

"I can't control the wind, but I can heat it up."

His words fell, right before they clashed, and the sheer heat emanating from his plasmic body obliterated the trident as soon as it touched him, and then he crashed right into the Enel, who let out the most hideous scream imaginable as he felt the heat and was burned by it.

The sharp talons dug into his body, drawing some Blood, but the pain Enel felt and how he struggled for his life at that moment, could not really be imagined and was simply incomparable.

It was unfortunate that he could not keep that form for long as it was incredibly draining.

Those who witnessed the scene, soon saw the two Gods fall from the sky, and their hearts thumped in hope that it was not the end of the world.
