Chapter 58 - Greed (2)

As the two guild leaders cut their way to reach the source, Hashra and Tusk then used their that they had required many months ago. Hashra uses his Time Power which helps him to skip into the future time although he can now only leap for 145 minutes forward per 10 seconds.

"( I hope by skipping some time, ... I could at least get into Rangga first rather than Tusk. )" he says while leaps which kinda looks like him teleporting but it's not.

"( Since I don't trust him much either, after all .... )"

"( He settled our battle easily like he had no hatred for me or something .. )"

"( And ... )"

"( Judging from his face, .... )"

"( It seems that he knows something about that monstrous being earlier )"

"( Or ... perhaps that monster is ... )" Hashra says to himself as he observes the Black Thorn guild leader with a sharp eye.

Meanwhile, Tusk who was running in front of Hashra thinks as he analyzes the situation earlier.

"( Those Tentacles earlier.... )"

"( Those are the 's Tentacle ..... the guardian of This Floor )"

The Kraken, the 's (the Current Floor that the situation that they stand in right now) guardian monster, is one of ChronoAxis's summoned monsters that comes out by having the Greed Sin Factor when its first day of being spawned.

That monster is a big one and had much power from the Candidates it eats and absorbed. Because of that, it is said that this monster can summon the absorbed power to easily demolish its enemy.

"( Yes I remember now, ... it is that Kraken's tentacle ... )" Tusk says as he remembers the day he used to fight the Kraken.

On that day, Tusk was heavily wounded as the Kraken overpowered him with its power, rendering him powerless as his magics don't work a thing at it at all. As the Kraken's tentacle was slapping him .. a voice can be heard where a man's voice suddenly comes and said.

" Hahahahaha "

" Thank goodness, I'm using this form if I still with my human form earlier ... then my death would be more certain .. " the Kraken says with a weird voice.

As Tusk flees for his life, the memory then flash-forward into the day Tusk meets Jack where at that time he sees that Jack possesses the same Tentacle that the Kraken has.

Minutes passed, Tusk then asks some Candidates and Administrators which they said that the Kraken has been defeated by someone and now the 'someone' has all of the Kraken's abilities.

As Tusk analyzes the facts that learned, he tries to connect the facts he began to get some conclusion of what are those Tentacle thigs.

"( I see now, .... so that's what it mean that time huh ....? )" Tusk says in his mind as he remembers the thing that the Kraken says and that which Jack told to him weeks earlier.

"( You're the one who places himself as the Floor Guardian are you ?? )" Tusk says as he felt betrayed by the one he employs.

"( Hear this Jack ... once I'll found you, ... I'm going to shock and stabs you a thousand times because of your manipulation.. )" Tusk says as he then speeds up into Jack's and Rangga's location.

As the fight went on, the two then use all of their skills and abilities to destroy one another. At the moment, Jack's body starts to transform again as now he then summons Tentacle-like tails which belong to ....

" PREDATOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Rangga says as he recognize his pet's body feature.

With that tail, Jack then whips it into Rangga many times and then he transforms again as he then summons T-Rex-like teeth from the ground. With that, Jack then controls the mouth to bite Rangga but failed since Rangga uses his shield.

" Such power, .... it seems your pet here has a great ability which I kinda find it amusing ... "

As the fight goes on, Rangga then summons his golems to attack Jack with their magic to weaken Jack. But, ... using the power of Greed Sin Factor and the Blessing of Avarice.

" Hmmmppphh this is nothing !!!!!!!!!!! "

" With the power of in my hands, these puny blasts will not wound but strengthen me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Jack says as he then absorbs the blasts.

As that happens Rangga smiles as he then laughs in happiness which makes Jack confused.

" What are you laughing at? " Jacks asks which Rangga replies.

" Oho it's nothing, ... it's just ... "

" Well you know, ... "

" When I fire you earlier, I actually put the essence of my Blessing ... " Rangga explains.

" Oh really .... " Jack answers as he still absorbs the blasts.

" So what about it, what's going to happen? .... do you feel your power getting weaker or something? " Jack asks as he then teases Rangga.

Feeling insulted, Rangga then says out loud that, " Of course, since my Blessing has the ability to .... so that means ... "

As Rangga says that, Jack then felt something is wrong inside his body. As he then felt weak as somehow he is getting exhausted.

" Contractee Jack ... what's happening why does your power begin to fade? " said inside Jack's mind as he then feels his body getting weaker due to his link with Jack.

As the Blessing coursing through Jack's body it then fades away some of the genes in Jack's body which gives Jack a lot of pain as the absorbed Blessings runs through his body like blazing fire and poison him badly.

" How does it feel Jack .. ? " Rangga asks him.

" How does it feel to have everything you gained with all of that effort, disappear effortlessly?" he asks as the Ripper growls in pain due to his powers beginning to fade.

" WHY YOU LITTLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??? "

" WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?? " Jack shouts as he then runs for his life while holding the immense pain from the Blessing.

(Inside Jack's mind)

" GGGGRRRRAAAAHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " shouts in pain as his body began to be more deformed.

" Contractee Jack, what are you doing? ... don't just run ... find some other Candidates and absorb them !!!!! " orders but it seems Jack doesn't listen as he tries to flee for his life.

"( What's happening ... Am I going to die ... ?? )"

"( What ... happening to my body !!!!! ?? )" Jack says as he then sees some memories of his past.

" Villains like you will always lose !!!!! "

" Villains like you will always be destined to be defeated !!!!!!! "

" Go to hell Ripper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

" Die in despair like your Great Grandfather did !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Seeing his Contractee just run away, then felt something .. other than his pain, as he felt something other than him was also inside the plane.

" Hello, there old friend ... "

" How many ages have passed after we departed from the Void? " said the other being.

" Who are you !!!!!!!!?? " asked while the being there shows himself.

" YOU !!!!!!!!!! " shouts as it recognizes who it is.

" Yes me .... " said the being which is was *Lost the Ancient Beast, the Deviant of Vanity ... Rangga's Sponsor.
