Sabrina just told Kavan that she wanted to invite her parents over for their wedding reception to announce their marriage and pregnancy. This made him nervous. It was one thing to meet your girlfriend's parents but quite another to meet her parents after you got her pregnant and married her in a rush, without even a proper ceremony and celebration.
"What are your parents like, Sab?" Kavan asked nervously as Sabrina bustled about up on deck where they will be holding their reception. She was checking on the decorations and the menu. It will be a lunch reception so they have a couple hours before guests start arriving.
"Don't worry Kav, my mother was born human so you can even talk to her about immortality," she replied him.
"What about your father?" Kavan asked. It is usually the patriarch that will be quite imposing. Like his grandfather.
