Chereads / A Dragon & Her Yoga Teacher / Chapter 6 - Just friends

Chapter 6 - Just friends

Kavan jumped back and pushed her away almost immediately, dropping the bowling ball in the process. It barely missed her toes.

"Sabrina!" he exclaimed. "This is not right at all," he said.

"But…but…" she protested.

"Look, I know you are sad and lonely but I don't want to take advantage of you. Let's keep our friendship platonic okay?" he said.

She pouted at him. He is no fun at all. She thought she had him in her grasp but turns out she was wrong. She may need to work on seducing him even more.

"I don't see anything wrong with a kiss…I mean, you are single right? And I am almost, practically single," she said.

"Well, you are only separated, not exactly single. And I am your yoga instructor and room mate for now, nothing more," he said firmly.

"Awwww…not even a friend?" she asked, widening her eyes sadly.

"Yes, okay, we are friends, sort of, anyway but let's keep it that way okay?" he said. He went to pick up the bowling ball and offered it to her.

"Here, let's try again," he said. This time, he stood in front of her and showed her how to hold the ball. Then he demonstrated rolling it down the lane. There goes her chance of getting him near her again. She sighed. Looks like she has to pretend to bowl badly and pretend to improve.

Despite not being able to get Kavan near her again, she actually had fun bowling with him. She found that he had a competitive streak and after she pretended to 'improve' her game, they were competing to see who can bowl more strikes. The winner will get to decide what they want to do next. She is intent on winning so she can suggest that they go drinking. Getting him drunk will be the best way to seduce him. She is a dragon shapeshifter. Alcohol has absolutely no effect on her so she can definitely drink him under.

She carefully manipulated her game to win him by just one point and pretended to be shock by every strike she rolled. Of course, the fact that she had sidled up to him whenever he was preparing to bowl and almost touching him could have affected him.

"Alright, alright, you win. So where do you want to go next?" he asked.

They went to return the shoes and left the bowling alley.

"I want to have a drink, so let's go drinking. Yay!" she said and she thread her hand into the crook of his arm as if it was the most natural thing to do. "Let's go," she said.

He didn't pull her hand off, which was a good thing, and let her pull him along.

"Wait…there's no pub here. Do you have a car?" she asked him.

He told her he had actually cycled there. He doesn't have a car and prefers to cycle everywhere. Sigh. What a drag, she thought. She could easily call for her driver and car but she can't do that after she fed him with her tall tales and sob story. Darn it.

"I guess we can always get a Grab car," she said and tapped on the app. It was a good thing she has the app. Occasionally she does use Grab, especially when the driver was occupied chauffeuring the two kids to their various activities.

"Oh, but is it far?" Kavan asked. "We can easily go to a nearby pub, I mean alcohol is the same every where else," he said.

Not if she wanted to get him drunk fast, she thought inwardly. She knows a speakeasy with highly potent cocktails. She is certain a few glasses will knock him right out, just nice for her to do whatever she wanted to him.

"No, no, I have this speakeasy I used to go to. They are really nice people," she said. She ordered a Grab car without waiting for his respond.

When they got to the speakeasy, there was already a huge crowd inside. It was getting so popular in recent weeks. It took them almost an hour to find a place to sit and she began ordering a variety of cocktails for them.

"Oh, I don't really drink cocktails…I prefer whiskey or vodka or even wine," he told her. She ignored his protests and pushed a glass to him.

"Just try it!" she shouted, above the din in the pub. He downed it. Then she pushed another glass to him. Again. And again. And again.

By the 8th glass or so, he was already acting tipsy and she smiled secretly. He can really hold his alcohol. For a normal mortal man, they would have been downright drunk by the 4th glass. That was how potent the cocktails were, especially after she added some magic, to enhance the alcohol, into it.

By the 10th glass, he was officially drunk. He was a well-behaved drunk. Though he was not walking straight, he was not shouting or rambling. Instead, he was weaving between the tables and dragging her with him to the dance floor.

"Letsssshhh danchhhhhheee," he said and then he pulled her close to him and started swaying, totally out of rhythm with the music being played. It was as if he was swaying to some music in his own head.

Sabrina doesn't mind a single bit. She linked her hands behind his neck, pressed her body against his and swayed with him. He reeked of alcohol but she doesn't mind. She was the one to feed so many glasses of alcohol to him so she will have to bear with the smell.

He was holding her close to him, his hands on her waist and sliding dangerously close to her round behind.

"Sabbssssss…youse beeeuuuoootifullll…" he murmured, looking down at her as they swayed together. She is now pressed up against him intimately and his hands were cupping her behind, caressing her. She is becoming aroused with him so close to her, their chests pressing close to each other. It was all she could do not to tear off his clothes, push him on the floor and ride him there and then. If not for the crowd of drunken people around them…

"Ughhh…..puukkkeee…" he gagged and covered his mouth. Then he was stumbling away, weaving past the tables to head to the men's room.

She sighed. That was hardly romantic. Maybe she shouldn't have given him so many drinks. She should have topped at the 8th glass. She followed him to the men's room. She could hear him gagging and puking in one of the stalls inside. When he stumbled outside, wiping his mouth with his hands, he reeked of both alcohol and puke. She wrinkled her nose in disgust.

She realised that she had sabotaged herself. There was no way they will be getting into bed together with him so drunk. She sighed. She might as well get him home now. The night is already over. She cursed her over eagerness to get him drunk.

"Come, let's go home," she told him. He merely nodded, his face pale.

She placed an arm around his waist and guided him to the door. Outside, she called her driver to come pick them up. She is sure Kavan will be too drunk to notice. She asked him for his address and instructed the driver to take them there.

Kavan's place was neat and minimally decorated. It was a small flat. The whole flat is probably the size of her bedroom at Dashen's house. She helped Kavan inside and into his room before depositing him on his double bed. His room was like her closet. Just large enough for a double bed and a small cupboard with a tiny little ensuite bathroom.

Kavan sprawled on his bed and immediately started snoring. She sighed. What a disaster. She lay down next to him and stared at his handsome profile. She will need another way to seduce him, she thought.
