Ashius stared at the two of them. "What was that?" he thought. "What does he mean by "boring"?"
"Let's just go and plan our next prank," Hugh said to Nate. "You are not invited, Ashius." he said coldly.
"But…I never meant any harm," Ashius said. "You guys… Hey, wait for me!" he yelled at the other two as they got farther away from him.
"I don't like this guy." they both thought.
"Go away you fool…" Ashius yelled; then wheezed. "Ugh… Puh…" The bite from the local mad dog was very painful. The two behind him were crying profusely.
"You saved us! Thanks…" Hugh and Nate said to Ashius.
Ashius fell on his butt from all the energy he had used to scare off the dog that was chasing down Hugh and Nate.
They both hugged him—crying their eyes out—as they helped him get back on his feet.
"Don't worry," Ashius said with a smile. "We are friends, aren't we? I will protect you from anything!"
Hugh and Nate look at each other.
