"Lower than ever YOURS" sure sounded condescending, but Joysaleen didn't mind it at all. How could she expect to have a Rank higher than what she currently had when she hadn't even fought that many Brights of even higher Ranks than her? Same was the case for Arold. He practically grew up down in those mines, so obviously his Rank would be lower than someone who wasn't trapped underground for a big chunk of her life.
