Ulrak's nervousness had spiked the moment he saw the riotrunners run off from the Quest Tech HQ after wrecking it. The blue flames put out; Ulrak had sent two squadron captains and three skyguards of Commander Bez's platoon to trail the Etherbeasts in case they needed to be stopped—if they approached a shelter.
Texal has again done the job of calming Ulrak's nerves, suggesting putting the soldiers into formations and focusing onto their target instead of letting his nervousness get the best of him. The raid itself would not look like anything they'd imagined. The element of surprise was gone. All the Volants inside that giant building would now be on their guards.
Ulrak took a deep breath. 'That doesn't matter.' He turned to his soldiers with resolve in his eyes. 'I will see that you learn of consequences, Tash.'
