Ulrak peeked from the corner of an alley, signaling his skyguards to move out after finding the status of the street. The thirty three soldiers moved out stealthily in three groups of eleven each, lead by three of the four platoon commanders of Legion 17, each carrying a Subjugator and five bluespheres with them.
Following the strategy, they'd abandoned their vehicles back in District Ten to not announce their presence to the Volants they were raiding.
Finally, Master Texal—who had suggested this idea—stepped beside Ulrak, nodding in appreciation. "Losing that timidity. Good to see it."
"This is my duty," Ulrak said as he stepped out of the alley as well. "It took me long enough to realize that this was never about me. Now I know what being a true skyguard really means." After all, Commander Dririn had showed him the perfect example.
