Ryuzio screamed with pure childlike delight, sitting atop Kinimi's head in her alligator form as she swam through the swamp to the other Bridgegate. Arold sat behind him, holding an arrow in his hand pointed down to the scaly back of the Volant, the arrowhead contacting her skin.
"I don't mind this at all, little guys," Kinimi said, her tail waving beneath the surface of the shallow water. "But once we get there, your luck is sure to run out."
"Let us be the ones worrying about that, Kinimi," Joysaleen said from behind Arold. "You put your mind into getting us there."
"Sure," Kinimi replied, increasing her speed. "But don't complain to me for not warning you. My squadmates will most likely be waiting ahead. Not waiting, actually. They'll meet us on the way there."
"A betrayer talking to another of its kind," Hitryel said from near the tail, facing the wrong side. "Are you sure you're not letting out too much?"
