Texal wanted the skyguards of Legion 17 to fail this raid. That's why he joined them in the first place instead of his own Legion raiding the Scavengers' base in District Nine. If Ulrak's soldiers failed, he would look for someone who could help him, rescue him from this chaos.
That's where Texal would step into the picture, gloriously saving the day for the immature boy, gaining his trust in the long run. He needed that to climb higher into the ranks of Hazard Combat Force. Myoxes of Legion 16 and Telky of Legion 14 were far too perceptive of Masters to be gotten by a strategy simple such as this. Texal needed to think of some other way to make it past them. But they were quite far ahead of him.
