In the City of Dawn, the walkway was filled with various races, humans, elves, orcs, and winged people walking around the city, all people of various professions and regular people, soldiers and mercenaries patrolling and sellers showing off their wares. The City of Dawn truly deserved the name of the most influential place in Academia. It was filled with the Temples of various Gods and various influential organizations like the Mercenary Union, Myriad Treasures Pavilion, Beast Tamers Association, Elixir Pavilion, Smithing Association, and so on.
All of a sudden, a horn sounded, then every living being, on the road regardless of their status, whether warriors, devotees of the various Temples, nobles, employees of the various influential organizations all parted ways and knelt down and bowed their heads. The lashing of whips and neighing of Pegasuses resounded through the air as a gigantic chariot made of celestial bronze and various precious other metals and gems flew through the air.
"Stop doing this every time, Samuel must you always announce our arrival?", said a voice like the sounds of bells chiming directly from the carriage.
A middle-aged man with a severe face, Samuel, the charioteer, with a whip that created tears in void space shook his head and said,
"Your Excellency, it goes exactly in line with your status in the world, if we don't do this they'll eventually forget their place". A snort rang out directly from the chariot, as Samuel heard this snort he trembled, a voice like the thunder thundered,
"Enough, we'll continue this when we get back to the palace. Today is our son John's coming of age ceremony, you are all invited to come to the Dawn Centre, we're having it early".
In the world of Academia, from the time, the Goddess of Magic, Hecate, passed down magic and the elements to the first living beings, the first of mankind, Liam and Edora, children are able to use magic at the age of 6 when the Gods grant them recognition and allow them to use magic based on their affinity, but there are some exceptions, their son was able to crawl at day two, speak at day five, walk at day ten and age 1, he was able to use magic without the recognition of the Gods, well it was not surprising considering the child of who he was, he was the son of the first generation of Men, Adam and Eve who were the Lords of the City of Dawn, they in whose image mankind was created. As the First Generation of Mankind, they were immortal, so they didn't need to train to be immortal. So it's no wonder the City of Dawn was the most powerful place in the entire world of Academia, the really weird thing will be if by the number of years they had lived they weren't the strongest nation.
They hid the prowess of their son from the prying eyes of Gods and mortals alike as the Gods were wary with them as it was.
"You can all stand up", said the male and female voice together one domineering and one gentle.
Then the chariot continued its flight en route to the Dawn Centre. As they left, everyone burst into chatter.
"It seems their son is a genius worthy of their name", one resident said in joy to a visitor to the City of Dawn, that tourist, a noble of the Leonheart Empire looked at him with despise and shook his head and said,
"He is not worthy of mention next to the Crown Prince of our Empire, our Crown Prince, Prince Leonheart, may the Gods Bless his soul -", he tapped his head, left shoulder and right shoulder respectively and kissed his hand, "could already show an affinity for the fire element at the early age of three, compared to Prince Leo, Progenitor John is nothing", the residents around the area looked at him as if they were looking at an idiot, "Forget it you can't understand the glory of our Little Lord", said the resident that first started the conversation as they were walking towards the Dawn Center. All around the various devotees, nobles and the organizations were comparing their various geniuses to the Little Lord.
The Dawn Centre as the name suggests is the center of the City of Dawn, at the Dawn Center arrays for water proofing, cooling, shading, etc were imprinted directly on the air, the Dawn Centre could accommodate up to fifty million people due to the space magic of Lord Adam. The Dawn Centre was mainly used for specific purposes like public announcements and so forth.
As the people swarmed into the Dawn Centre noisily and took their seats, they all fell silent when the Lords of Dawn City stepped on the stage with each of their hands holding onto a beautiful child, all the people present in the hall gasped when they saw the child, in the vision of the audience they felt like they were looking at the sun, the boy was glowing like they were looking at a God, to them the only thing that spoilt their view of the child was the occasional flash of mischief that flashed through his eyes, those eyes made even the toughest mercenary shudder down to the tips of their shoes, they felt like they were looking at the incarnation of the God of Mischief (not that there was any).
When they all looked at his parents, they all sighed that as expected of his parents. When they all saw their faces, silence washed over the venue, then a gasp sounded, but the weird thing was that no one could hear it, apart from the two Lords of Dawn, as they heard that sigh their eyes shone with love as they looked in the direction the sigh sounded from, then they looked down at their little son with melancholy.
Then they both adjusted their emotions, then Adam said to Samuel, "Call the various priests of the Temples over and tell them to bring their testing devices over", he said in a tone that demanded no refusal.
"Yes my Lord", Samuel replied bowing down, then he projected his thoughts to the various priests.
Three minutes later, the various priests teleported over with each a devotee that carried a statue, then they each placed the statues on the stage, then they stepped back.
"We've arrived my Lord", they replied, though they were each incensed because as honorable messengers of the Gods they are serving a fellow human being like them, of course, Adam knew their thoughts but he just ignored them.
The stern face of Adam finally cracked a smile as he bent down to the eye-line of John and told him to go forward and test his affinity with the different elements.
"Yes Father", John said smiling as he skipped to the area where the statues of the various Gods were and stood in the center. When he got no reaction he turned and looked at his parents his parents smiled and told him to stand in front of each statue one at a time.
John stood in front of a statue, all of a sudden, the memory started dispersing leaving John staring at the ceiling with tears on his face.
