Loud mechanical sounds were produced by the keyboards, but the employees were instead busy typing down at the chats. After all, the CEO had not come to the office again. When they asked Ainsley, he didn't tell them anything at all. Moreover, when they entered the CEO's office, the one speaking to them was the woman that was supposed to be just a consultant.
At the constant desktop pings of the group chat, he couldn't even concentrate on the things that he was supposed to do. Even if he was at the mercy of the lunch break, he still wished that they would stop talking about things. Then again, it was indeed very strange.
Sinclair left before Ainsley could even fully wake up that morning. He only said that Dominic called. After that, there was nothing. The dragon didn't call or send a single text at all. Then again, Ainsley finally realized something:
