"Why does it always have to be you? What do you have that I don't?"
With great difficulty of breathing from her broken ribs, she managed to stay sane from the intense pain she's feeling right now. Both her limbs has been cut clean, and the poison is starting to penetrate her system.
Even in her weakened state, she still wanted to ask this question she's been keeping since god knows when.
The girl clad in white stared down at her with a cold and penetrating gaze, exuding a strong murderous aura that sent chill through her spine. She suddenly missed that irritating smug look the girl in white used to make.
There's only one thing in her mind right now, she's done for.
'Is this the end?'
"There's a lot, actually." The girl in white squatted in front of the dying Wei Wuyan as she pinched her jaws forcefully making her looked in the eyes.
"But let's start with the sense of humanity." Though calm, one could still feel the anger and the killing intent from the girl in white's eyes.
"I've warned you countless times, don't touch my bottom-line. Where's my sister?!"
The girl in white was now akin to a demon who rose up from hell. With bloodshot eyes and a protruding veins, clearly on the verge of going berserk, she grabbed a handful of her hair and forcefully smashed her head on the solid ground so hard you could see it cracked.
Thanks to Wei Wuyan's high cultivation, she still managed to stay awake though the dried and fresh blood spurting from her cracked head already covered her vision.
"Ha! A sense of humanity...bullshi-!"
Her head was once again smashed, but this time more forceful than the last.
"Where is my sister?!" The girl in white asked again, as she know she's almost losing her rationality. She needed to stay rational for her sister's sake.
Wei Wuyan chuckled almost inaudibly.
"I have done a lot of unscrupulous things in this lifetime, but kidnapping your sister...isn't one of them."
The girl in white momentarily paused, as she couldn't believe what she just heard.
"Even when you're on the verge of death, you're still lying?!" This made the girl in white angrier causing her to earn a few consecutive thrashing.
'I regret having a high cultivation now. It's been hours now and I'm still alive. Fuck!'
"Unfortunately, my dear sister, I'm not. You should wish I did. I would've been able to tell you by now."
Wuyan, though constantly coughing out blood and breathing heavily, still had the audacity to mock her, Wei Rouxin.
"You wanna know what the best part is? The person who took her, was your beloved Emperor, whom you've been blindly serving."
'Oh sister, you've won countless wars, sacrificed your beloved brother's life, devoted your loyalty to him, the emperor, all for the sake of the kingdom.'
"Surprised? Now tell me, where did your sense of humanity take you? A broken family, a dead brother, and now probably a deranged sister, was it worth it?"
"NO! Impossible! You're lying. YOU'RE LYING!"
Wei Rouxin's last bit of rationality finally snapped. The ground trembled and the air suddenly felt heavy. An intense killing intent suddenly engulf the area around them.
This shocked Wei Wuyan.
'Rouxin, you monster! So I never really had the chance to defeat you after all.' She thought.
Wei Wuyan could feel her life slowly slipping away. Giving the berserk Wei Rouxin one last glace, she thought of the things she had done before. Just to defeat Wei Rouxin, her sister. Just to earn the title of number one.
"Give it up, Wuyan. You really can't defeat me. Just accept the fact the you'll always be my number two." Rouxin laughed while looking at her with eyes full of contempt.
'If this is the price for being number one, I'll gladly be number two.'
And everything went black...
Or so she thought!

Wei Wuyan subconsciously look to where the sound came from. And to her horror, she saw a person lying almost a meter away from her. Her soul almost immediately left her body again as the body's head was facing her. It's not like she's afraid of a dead body or the likes, but this one was skinned. All she could see was a bare flesh and blood splattered around the body.
She tried to stand up but an intense pain finally registered to her system. It was not as painful as what she just experienced awhile ago but it still freaking hurt.
Then, a sudden burst of memories emerged in her mind causing her to fall into coma.
Hours later, in her mind...
'FUCK! Of all people...why this lunatic?!'
