Chapter 66 - Etiquette

I could feel my cheeks heating up. I tried to act as casual as I could but it was nearly impossible. I never had to deal with something like this. I felt guilty as I said "Fine." Instantly Shoving chicken in my mouth to prevent the conversation from continuing.

Even with eating sloppy, the food still tasted delicious and savory. The chicken was nice and juicy. This was the one thing mortals had going for them that almost all Gods appreciated. Well eating was a necessity for them, it was a pleasure for us and I could say that the taste of this was splendid. "It looks like you really are enjoying that." Luther said as I was stuffing another bite in my mouth.

I looked up to see Luther just staring at me like I was a mystical creature and Christopher smirking like this was the funniest thing in the world. I looked back at my food completely ignoring them. Out of sight, out of mind was the new thing I would be going by as of today. I stuffed another bite of mashed potatoes in my mouth. "You know the food's not going anywhere right?" Came Lucas's rude remark.

Of course He would have a spare remark. Instead of saying something back. I just tipped his plate over making it spill all over him. "Shit." Lucas yelled as he was jumping up out his seat. I also made his drink spill so he looked like he peed his pants. If he wasn't a God anyone could've mistaken him having an accident.

He looked down at his outfit and changed within seconds. I guess that show ended before it could even start. "Luther." Lucas gritted out. He was still standing while he waited for his spot to get cleaned and his food to be replaced. "Mazaya I will not have you acting like a child." Luther said with a edge in his tone.

I ignored him. Out of sight out of mind. Luther grabbed my face and forced me to look at him. We'll there went my new saying. "You look like a chipmunk. This is not how my wife should be eating." He gritted out. I just rolled my eyes. He was a perfectionist. He always had been. Even as a child he was like a mini adult.

That being said I stuffed my face some more. "That's not attractive. Honestly Luther I wouldn't be able to marry someone who ate like that." Christopher randomly said. I paused and looked up at him. Was that why he didn't like me before. I always played around and never had a care for how I looked. Did he see me as a sister because I was repulsive?

Without thinking I rewinded time. He didn't have his memories so if I kept a good image of myself he wouldn't find me disgusting. I shouldn't care because I'm married to Luther but I couldn't help it. Luther was looking at me. Oh yes he just asked if I was okay. "I'm fine, I just am excited about the food." I lied.

Luther gave me a gorgeous smile. Making a bigger smile when he looked down at his food. I used alittle magic to make me have proper etiquette and started to eat. As I was eating I took a quick glance at Christopher, when he seen me looking he gave me a huge smirk, reminding me on why I was eating sloppy in the first place.

I ended up blushing and looking away from Christopher. Luther gave me a soft smile when I turnt to him. Guilt hit me full force. Luther and I had been married for 1000s of years and I had never once given him a change. The fear of what would happen if I lost my way and gave up my virginity stopped it.

But now that I've experienced it maybe I was overreacting. I dont want or need to have sex after what Christopher did to me so it wouldn't hurt would it. I looked up at Luther and the guilt was eating at me. When I looked at Christopher the guilt was thick enough to cut now. I looked back to my food and started to pay attention to it instead of the people around me.

"I never knew you knew proper etiquettes, I always thought you weren't home trained." Lucas decided to reward me with a rude remark. "Lucas watch it. You can eat however you want." Luther said making the guilt eat away at me. He wasn't saying it just to make me feel better. I had to do something. "Could I talk to you in the room?" I asked Luther.

He paused and looked at me. After he finished his food and wiped his mouth He asked me in a concerned tone. "Is everything fine." I could feel my cheeks heat a bit. He raised his eyebrow so I rushed out and said "Yes I just need to talk to you." I looked up at him expectantly. "Okay give me a second." He said. Without replying I teleported away.

As I sat on the bed my nerves were shot. I had freshened up. Made sure I looked good and now I was just sitting here in my thoughts. He was taking forever. "Sorry it took so long. Something important came up." Luther said as he walked in. As I looked at him my resolve was starting to leave me. So before it could, I paused time and started the spell to take off both our wards.
