Chapter 55 - Runaway part 2

Sometime in the past (Teen Christopher's POV)

As we teleported into Luthers study I started to get anxious. I just told the God of Gods that his daughter ran away and wanted to be a monk. What was I thinking. There was alot of tension in the room. Exodus never liked me but Mazaya forced him to accept me. Now I could see the regret.

"Okay we are done with the games. It's been weeks and it's time for my fiance to come home. We've given her enough time. I trusted that you would've brought her home by now." Luther angrily said. I knew it would come down to this.

"I asked her to come home but the problem is she wants to marry me and not you. I'm in love with someone else so she told me if I didn't leave she would kill my girlfriend. " I tried to get them to see that Mazaya wasn't budging.

"You gave her hope and than you broke her heart. I told her you weren't a good friend but she didn't listen and now look at where it led us. Luther was to marry Mazaya the moment they both were born, it was set in stone. You've given her this false picture of how husband's should act. She compares everyone to you now and if you try to change how you treat her she will become emotionally unstable." Exodus said with nothing but disdain.

He finished off by saying. "I let her be your friend because I knew she wouldn't have accepted anything less but now look where it's got us." I tilted my head back stressed that she ran off and I didn't know what to do. And that's when it hit me. "What if I give you Good fortune lots of it? You can most likely be lucky enough to bring her back and she'll fall for you if I give you enough." I said to Luther.

Luther gave a smirk and turned his attention to Exodus. "That's a great idea." Exodus said with no questions asked. "We can start now. Just do what you did before and I'll see what I can do. I'm going to wait a few days to make sure I have enough good luck that she doesn't run off." Luther said with determination set in his voice.

I took that as my cue to start the magic up. After I gave Luther as much luck as he could take, we said our goodbyes and I left home. I stayed looking up at the ceiling because without Mazaya I was lost. This was the longest I had been without her and it was taking a toll on me. Her falling in love with me made it harder because I had to watch what I said or I had to watch her break. I couldn't even find it in me to go see my girlfriend now. I needed Mazaya back.

For a week I was giving Luther Luck so he could have enough to be able to bring back Mazaya. Mazayas dad was less hostile since I was helping Luther out. He still didn't like me but things weren't bad. The day after Luther went to try to bring Mazaya back I was called to Luther's study. As I walked into it I prayed that he gave me any type of good news.

That prayer was short lived before I even sat down. "She lost it when she seen me. She teleported before I could even talk to her and she blocked her location." Luther said before I could sit down. That was not refreshing.

"I need you to give me more Luck." Luther started to say before he could even finish I was giving him Luck that would hopefully get her back. "I'll be back tomorrow." I said after I was done. Not giving him a chance to talk. My heart was breaking for my best friend and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't have it in me to talk to anyone. For months it was a recurring thing. I would go to the office, no luck and then I would give him more magic.

Finally after 6 months when I went to the office Luther was their with Mazaya siting down across from him. I smiled. Finally I could breathe again. "Christopher it's nice of you to join us. I wanted you to be the first person so know Mazaya was back. Her dad should be here any minute." Luther said with a hint of warning. He didn't want me to say anything that could make her run..

"I'm happy your back." I said as I sat down next to her. I didn't know if she would want a hug or not. When I looked at her she was different. She no longer had that sparkle that use to be in her eyes. They were dull like she lost it from crying to much. My heart broke thinking about it. She didn't say anything she just smiled. Something was off and I could tell that she was no longer the same Mazaya that I grew up with. I changed her.
