Chapter 4 - Vile Souls

*Thriller*

"The usual?" Elijah asks as he stands in front of me on the other side of the bar. He was tall with short dark hair and some stubble on his face.

"You know me so well." I shot him a devious smirk as I moved some of my chocolate brown hair over my shoulder.

"Well I sure would hope I do by now Violet." He responds as he pours my favorite drink into a glass for me. He then proceeds to hand it over to me while looking me up and down, noticing the revealing black dress I was wearing. "Did you come down here for business or pleasure tonight?"

I took a sip from the glass and set it on the counter. "I haven't decided yet. But you'll know within the next hour or so I'm sure." I gave him another smirk.

"That doesn't sound very promising." He cocked an eyebrow. "Do you ever take a night off Vee?"

"Only when I feel like it, but I enjoy it so much I'd almost consider it more of a hobby than actually working." I answered. "Besides, the more I put in the happier our boss is and that makes life a little easier for all of us here."

"Okay." Elijah let out a low sigh. "I just would like to know in advance, considering I'm the one assigned to clean up these things."

I rolled my eyes. "You're welcome for making sure you have job security."

Two well dressed men in business suits sat down a couple seats away at the bar. This bar was located inside of the hotel that I resided at. Elijah lived here and so did most of the "staff" as well. We functioned as a regular hotel and most of our guests went about their business and left. Some weren't exactly so fortunate, but they deserved what they got every time.

Elijah watched as my eyes fell on the two business men. One had short blonde hair and the other dark brown hair that was slicked back. I could tell both of them had muscular builds hidden beneath their fancy ass suits. They were attractive, I would give them that.

"Looks like you've answered my question." Elijah let out another sigh, this time it was more frustrated. He proceeded to walk away from me to serve the two gentlemen that had sat down.

I finished the drink that Elijah had poured for me. I don't know why he seemed so annoyed about this. He knew the terms when he agreed to his position. When I started he didn't say a word, he just did what he was tasked to do. Lately though he had gained quite the attitude by it. There was only one way to find out why the sudden change, I would have to ask him.

He came back after he had served the two business men. I could see the annoyance and maybe a hint of disappointment on his face as he made me another drink. "What's wrong?" I asked as I studied him.

"Nothing." He responded flatly.

"Elijah, I've known you for a while now. Something is up, what is it?" I pushed a little more to get him to open up.

"How is it you can see how vile and disgusting a soul is but you can't see how I truly feel about you." His dark eyes looked into mine. "We've gotten quite close over-" He was cut off by one of the businessmen.

"Hey." The one with the short blonde hair smiled charmingly.

"We'll talk later." I responded to Elijah first and then turned my attention to the gentlemen who had come over to talk to me. "Hello."

Elijah moved away from us to get the other one more to drink. This allowed us more privacy to talk. For me to decide if I would actually need to work tonight after all.

"What's a pretty thing like you doing here by yourself?" His dark blue eyes looked up and down my body. I could sense his desire and want for me.

"Just having a drink." I motioned to the glass in my hand. "I figured I would have some alone time before I decided to go home for the night."

"So is no one going to be joining you at all?" He raised a brow.

"Nope." I took a sip from my second drink. "Like I said, I came here to have a drink alone."

He nodded. "Understood. Have a nice night." He gave me a smile again and walked back to his friend.

He then conversed with his friend for a moment. They got Elijah's attention and I went back to my drink. I rubbed my finger along the brim of the glass. Then I picked it up and finished off the rest of the alcohol. Right in time for the blonde man and his friend to come over.

"I see you just finished a drink. Why don't you have another one?" The man with the slicked back hair held out a glass.

I glanced over to Elijah and our eyes met. He gave me a nod of reassurance. I turned my attention back to the two gentlemen in front of me. "Thank you." I smiled as I took the glass.

They both sat down next to me and started making conversation. I began to seem out of it, like I was drowsy and dizzy. Then men took notice and smirked at each other. They were pleased to have successfully drug me.

"Let's help get you home okay?" The blonde man suggested in an overly nice tone.

I nodded in response.

They helped support me with one on each side of me. They walked me towards the elevator. I could hear them mumbling to each other. I couldn't pick up exactly what they were saying though. The doors of the elevator opened and we stepped inside, alone.

"It only has the basement option." The slicked back hair man spoke with a confused tone.

"That's fine." The blonde man's tone was now much darker than before. "Basement means that the chances of anyone bugging us are slim. Gives more than enough privacy for us to both fuck her as much as we want before she snaps back into reality."

"Okay." The man nodded and pressed the button.

The elevator began to descend slowly but then picked up the pace. The men both looked confused as the bar had been on the ground floor.

"What the hell?" The blonde one asked.

I pushed them off of me forcefully and my eyes darkened as I turned around to face them with a malicious grin. "So we like to drug and rape women for fun huh?" I asked. I could see how awful their souls were when they sat down.

"What the fuck?!" The slicked back haired man's face went pale as they realized I was not of their world.

"What the fuck are you?!" The blonde one chimed in.

"I work for Lucifer. I find the bad souls and deliver them to hell personally." I explained as the elevator still was descending it's way to hell. My job was to torture them and bring them down, but only the souls left the elevator. The bodies always came back with me and that's what Elijah was in charge of getting rid of.

I could see the panic set in on their faces. I snapped my fingers and the walls erupted with fire. Their suits caught some of the flames and they both tried to put each other out. I couldn't help the evil laughter that escaped from my lips as I watched the fear consume him. They were bad men so I enjoyed watching how terrified they were and couldn't help the feeling of satisfaction within myself.

I cut the fire and with another snap the elevator began to fill with dirty water. They men were relieved for a moment when they realized the fire was out. It was short lived as they noticed I had released my serpents. They both looked at each other with pure fear.

The serpents then jumped from the water and began their poisonous attack. They went right for their eyes, taking out their sight. The elevator was filled with their horrified screams. I leaned back against the wall as I watched the scene unfold before me.

The elevator finally stopped and the water was gone as I snapped my fingers again. The doors opened and the collector came in for the souls I had brought down. The men were barely alive but that didn't last long. Once the collector had their souls they were gone completely.

He turned to face me. "The boss will be pleased with these ones."

"Thanks." I smirked.

Once the collector was gone I pressed the button on the elevator to go back up to the hotel. I let out a dark chuckle as I looked at the two bodies lying lifeless on the ground. What they had gotten was well deserved. They were garbage that needed to be taken out.

See here at the hotel, as long as your soul was clean enough you would leave untouched. But if you were dark and had bad intentions, you would be taken care of. It was like a win for us and the rest of the world. There was one less garbage human to be worried about and Lucifer had his bad souls to keep him satisfied.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened. I stepped out as if nothing had happened at all. I noticed Elijah already standing here to clean up my mess. I turned to face him and my eyes went back to normal.

I walked up to him and my lips met his. He was surprised but welcomed the action. His hands pulled me into him tightly as our lips moved in sync for a moment. Finally we remembered exactly where we were and pulled away. We needed to get the elevator taken care of before a regular guest came and saw the bodies.

"You've made your feelings clear, I feel the same way as well." My eyes looked into Elijah's and my tone became dark and seductive. "Now take care of these two and I can really prove it."
