A life-threatening arrow injury, under Bi Fang's unique and fluid handling, was resolved swiftly and efficiently.
The crowd felt as though they were witnessing a surgery from another world, with tools unheard of.
Bi Fang moved to another position to start treating the second arrow wound.
"Using army ants to suture wounds is not my original idea. Many tribes living in Africa use army ants to help suture wounds, intentionally letting the ants bite into the edges of the flesh and then decapitating the ants. At this point, the jaws of the ants would clamp the skin at the edges of the wound, causing it to close," he explained.
"Moreover, the size of army ants is quite large, which also enables them to be used on somewhat bigger blade-type wounds."
