Chapter 2 - Senior, Something is Wrong

"Odin Military Academy provides one of the best facilities in the world. The students will gain something here every day. Be rest assured, uncles and aunties."

As she spoke, senior student Elena brought Zhao Rui and the others to the dormitory area. She stopped in front of the freshman dormitory and then looked at Zhao Rui, who had not said a word along the way.

"Zhao Rui? It's Zhao Rui, right?"

Elena walked up to Zhao Rui, her instincts told her that this recruit was steadier than the other students.

"Hmm?"

Zhao Rui, who was communicating with the system, came back to his senses and looked up at the tall senior in front of him.

"Yes, it is."

Elena pointed at the direction of the school gate with her thumb and said, "Send the uncles and aunties out first. We will go in later."

As soon as she said that, before Zhao Rui agreed, a few parents at the side spoke up.

"Ah, it's okay. Don't trouble yourself. We will send the children in and help them make their beds."

"Yeah, we are already here. We won't miss this bit of time."

Upon hearing this, the look on Elena's face visibly darkened for a moment. Then, she immediately smiled and said, "There's no need to send them in."

"We, the seniors, will take good care of the new students. After entering the military academy, we will be comrades and a family. Don't be worried, uncles and aunts."

At this point, the other two new students were already a little impatient. The rebelliousness during puberty made them sick of their parents' concern.

"Yes, mom, don't worry, I'm fine. Don't think that I don't know how to do anything."

"That's right, dad, don't worry. I can do it on my own. You guys should go back quickly."

"Aih."

One of the parents of the new students turned to Elena and said, "This child of mine looks tall and strong but the truth is, he has never suffered at all since he was born. If he has done anything wrong, please bear with him."

"Dad! Don't talk as if I'm not good at anything. You guys should go back quickly."

"Dad is just worried about you..."

Seeing the situation, Elena interrupted, "Alright, uncles and aunties, that's enough. Don't worry about the way we treat them. We also have strict disciplinary rules, I will bring them into the dormitory."

Upon hearing this, the parents hesitated for a moment, then nodded in embarrassment, "Then... thank you, we'll leave first."

"Okay, then I'll bring them in first. I wish you a safe journey back."

"Thank you very much! Thank you all!"

"Alright."

Elena didn't want to waste any more time, so she said to the other students, "Then let's go in first. The armoured unit's freshmen's dormitory is on the right side of the third floor."

After saying that, she looked at Zhao Rui.

Zhao Rui understood and nodded his head. Then, he said to the parents, "Uncles and aunts, let me send you out."

"No need for that."

The parents could also see that Elena was being polite. They would not pretend like they didn't know.

"Then, we'll leave first. Xiao Fei, take care of yourself."

"Son, take care of yourself. When you have time, call us to let us know you're safe."

"We're leaving, son."

...

After watching the parents leave, Elena put away the smile on her face.

"Let's go."

Her words were straightforward and concise. The true nature of a soldier was clearly shown.

Seeing the change in Elena's attitude, everyone became serious and did not dare to delay further.

Although Elena was tall and beautiful, under the cover of her military uniform, she looked strict and solemn which made her look intimidating and unapproachable.

Zhao Rui followed behind everyone and entered the dormitory building.

Elena took the elevator to the third floor.

What Zhao Rui did not expect was that the dormitory of Odin's Military Academy was actually a mass dormitory.

But Zhao Rui was prepared for this, it was still a military academy after all. In order to train disciplined soldiers, the conditions would not be as good as described in the recruitment brochure.

However, a mass dormitory meant that there was no private space. Everyone had to put up with each other and bear with each other when they were together.

Snoring, teeth-grinding, sleep-talking, they all had to bear with that.

However, on the battlefield, no one cared about these things. The war was urgent, so who cared with whom you slept in the same room?

Therefore, Zhao Rui quickly accepted this fact, but the other freshmen found it hard to accept.

Although no one said anything, their thoughts were written all over their faces.

At this moment, in the dormitory, three students had already arrived and made their beds.

When they saw Elena and the others walk in, they were stunned for a moment. Then, they stood up and said to Elena, "Hello, senior."

"Hmm."

Elena glanced at the few freshmen in the dormitory and frowned slightly.

"First of all, when you meet your seniors, the way to greet them is to stand at attention and salute."

"Ah, this..."

Faced with the sudden admonishment of their senior, the few freshmen looked at each other in dismay. Then, they hurriedly raised their heads and puffed out their chests to give a less-than-perfect military salute.

"Hello, senior."

"Mm."

Senior Elena stood up straight with a thump and returned a perfect military salute.

Then, after the salute, she said, "Secondly, the quilt on the bed must be folded according to the military's requirements. It must have clear edges and corners. In layman's terms, it must be like a block of tofu."

"This..."

One of the freshmen said hesitantly, "Reporting... reporting to senior, this quilt is a little too soft. It feels like it can't be folded..."

As he said this, the new student even tried to pile up the quilt in order to shape it a little.

Elena glanced at the quilt on the bed in front of the new student, shook her head, and walked over.

"Hua --"

She unfolded the quilt and let it lie on the bed. Her slender hands folded the quilt with unusual strength. Finally, she pulled up the four corners of the quilt and flattened it.

The whole process took less than two minutes.

Just like that, among delighted sighs, Elena stood up and straightened her military uniform. Then, she gestured for everyone to look at the folded quilt.

"Take a good look. This level of folding is the most basic. From now on, you have to make your bed according to this standard every day at Odin."

As she said this, Elena turned around and looked at Zhao Rui and the others. Her gaze fell on the other two freshmen.

"In addition, the reason why we don't let the parents in is not because we don't want them to see the environment in the dormitory. It's because we want to train each of you to be independent from now on."

As she spoke, senior Elena's gaze became sharp. "If you're not independent when you're in the army, how can you go into the battlefield? How can a man be responsible if he's not independent?"

Upon hearing this, everyone, including Zhao Rui, felt their hearts being ignited.

It was more and more like an army.

The others might not be used to it yet, but Zhao Rui was very excited and relieved.

Even as a senior student, Elena could have such respectable aura and awareness, let alone the seniors who were about to graduate.

"Now, you can start from folding quilts."

Elena said as she looked at everyone.

"Although it's the first day of school, even if you don't practice now, you'll still be strictly monitored by your instructors in the future. Practice early and relax early. In fact, it's not difficult. Just do it with your heart."

After listening to the senior's lecture, everyone seriously nodded in agreement.

Zhao Rui also put down his luggage and started making his bed.

The other freshmen also folded their quilts respectively.

Elena nodded her head in satisfaction.

"In that case, after you've folded your quilts and made your beds, you can go to the cafeteria to eat. I can wait for you outside for five minutes and no longer than that."

"Yes!"

Feeling the authority of their senior, everyone stood at attention.
