Alexander walked past Theodora who was on video call with Gideon. He knew it was bad to eavesdrop on the conversation but he had orders to pass along some information from Damien to Theodora.
'So far the area here has been stabilized, Theodora may choose to stay here and supervise the borders or assign one of my men. I need to return to the capital briefly before heading out to the east'
That was the last conversation he had with Damien who was busy clearing out the majority of the infested areas. They can't wipe the monsters out but they can buy time as usual and lessen the amount of invaders so that the people here can live in peace.
"Mom, It'll be fine. I just haven't seen Ms. Valerie for years now, I want to visit her soon. Not this month because I still have to meet up with my old batchmates from college" Gideon's words could be heard from this distance but maybe it's because of Alexander's hearing being stronger than most people.
