The witch along with the prime minister had received news of the dragon prince hovering around in the forest, news reach the palace of Oz that the dragon prince is very much alive in the forest. On many occasions the wicked witch had send guards to hunt for the prince, and kill him, they had only come back to report to the queen that a force had altered their entrance into the Forest. The queen had by herself and the prime minister gone to the forest to see for themselves, on getting there, they had tried to gain entrance themselves into the forest, but the same force spoken by the guards seem to stop and alter their entrance into the forest. They had resolve to coming up in three weeks time to have the forest burned down, as the Priest had suggested that a ritual would be perform in order to weaken the force that seem to alter people with bad intention from gaining entrance into the forest.
The witch had guard keep a special watch around the forest, day and night they await the prince, when Kera had left the forest to Harnez, he had been followed by two guards who knew Came that same night to kill him in the home of Old Zuna, the two guards have been badly injured, they ran that night back to the kingdom of Harnez.
" My queen, Kera had escaped again into the forest, he is with a strong lady, she had helped him with the escape" one of the guard had said, with his head bowed down.
The queen had not taken the message lightly, and she slew the guard who had reported the news..
Days and days, the wicked witch who is now the Queen of Oz, waited patiently for the day the priest would burn down the forest, as the priest goes daily to the forest to perform certain rituals, to weaken the forces that surrounds the forest.
The prime minister on the other hand did not like the way things were playing out, as the queen seem to rule over him too. She seem to be more powerful in the eyes of the people of Oz,and was more feared by the people of Oz, which made the Prime minister to receive less respect from his people.
The wicked witch was in charge of everything in the kingdom, she was the one who settles dispute in the kingdom, her decisions were taken more serious than that of the prime minister.
This made the Prime minister to feel less of a man, and for this he plans to take power from the witch.
The Witch was very much in love with the prime minister and she seem to trust him so much, as they have been married and joined together by the priest of Harnez, upon the vows which the witch took to heart. Unfortunately, the queen had stop consulting her gods to tell her the mind of her the man she has choosen, each time she consults her gods, she gets report that he is forever faithful to her and loves her, due to the Good reports she keeps getting, she resolve to believing the Prime minister love for her without questioning any of it, or consulting her gods.
The prime minister had gone to meet with a medicine man, who is getting skillful with his works, everyone in Oz comes to him for medicine to get healed or anything bothering them. The prime minister had requested for a medicine that slowly kills and destroy the internal organs of an human being, he claimed it to belong to a slave whom had been proving difficult of late, and it only a way to teach such slave a lesson. The medicine man who knew not to dare to ask the Prime minister who is now king the reason he wants to kill a slave using poisonous medicines. He hurriedly Gave the prime minister a substance he should use in small doses, inside the food of drink of the slave, and he will see to it that the slaves dies slowly, without one being able to suspect it to be poison.
The prime minister gaining the complete trust of the wicked witch, inserted the substance into the early morning tea of the wicked witch, she did well to drink these tea prepared by the prime minister, without suspecting or tasting any bit of poison in it. the witch only anticipated the day the forest would be burned down and the dragon prince, along with Kera would burn into ashes, and the thought of ruling the kingdom, without having to fear the return of prince will be gone completely.
while the Wicked witch thought on how to burn the forest, in order to get completely rid of the prince, the prime minister on the other hand taught on how to overthrown the wicked witch so as to have full possession of the throne. while he poisoned her food on a daily basis, he had guards working secretly for him on a daily basis, without the knowledge of the queen. The prime minister had promised them a substantial amount of money, and a good position in the palace, so they can be in his side, these guards completely agrees to be on the side of the prime minister, but first they must pretend to be on the side of the wicked witch, until she dies.
The priest made it a daily activities to visit the forest regularly, to perform daily rituals to weaken the force that surrounds the forest. It was two weeks already, the wicked witch could not wait for the forest to be burned to ashes, and the prime minister could not wait for the wicked witch to get knocked out one day from the daily dose of poison he made sure to poison her food with.
it been two weeks, the prime minister kept on putting the substance of the poison, until the day the wicked witch feel completely sick, she could neither stand up or even eat, she was confined to her bed.
The prime minister had succeeded.
