Jason patted Gu Bei on the shoulder and said, "Watch carefully with all your heart and sense the intent within. It'll be a great help to your cultivation."

"Yes." Gu Bei nodded in reply, even though his expression was still a little blank.

Qin Yue looked at Nie Li with a sweet smile. "This Junior Brother seems rather young. But since you're willing to show us your skills, your courage is commendable! We can't be too demanding either."

A burst of laughter came from below the stage. It was obvious that Qin Yue was trying to leave Jason with a route for retreat.

Jason didn't have a single trace of stage fright as he calmly replied. "Hehe... since senior brothers and sisters showed their talent and made a fool of themselves. I'm untalented, but I can also offer to write a word and make a fool of myself."

Jason scanned the crowd below with a casual smile. "This word of mine is a gift to those who're fated with it!"

Everyone within the side chamber exchanged glances. Did Nie Li really think of himself to be a figure?

He stepped forward and wrote the word 'Sword'.

Everyone dumbfounded exchanged glances before mocking him as they didn't feel even a single trace of Dao's intent.

Only Chen Linjian, Gu Bei, Yan Yang, and Mingyue Wushuang were able to feel something from it.

Yan Yang and Mingyue Wushuang even showed their intent to buy his word from him, giving an offer of a hundred and fifty thousand spiritual stones.

Since the duo was so sincere in their conduct, Jason gifted the duo with two words each.

Because of this, Jason's name thoroughly rang throughout the three major sects.

After the gathering, everyone returned to their respective living quarters.

At night, Jason snuck out and decided to pay a visit to Ying Yueru since it had been quite some time since he went to meet her.

He activated his void form to avoid the prying eyes. He followed a crooked path that stretched into the distance, walked past a patch of dense forest, and reached a quiet valley.

Peach blossoms bloomed richly, making the scene appear like a utopia.

Walking slowly, he arrived in front of the door.

"Since Husband is here, why don't come in?"

Jason's face twitched, hearing the familiar ethereal and peaceful voice that came from inside.

Opening the door, Jason saw Ying Yueru sitting on the ground looking like a fairy. Her expression was calm without the slightest ripple but her eyes had a tint of happiness, watching him.

Jason walked inside and took a seat in front of her. "You're still calling me that?"

"You don't like it?"

"I didn't mean that." Jason scratched his head. "I just feel a little weird."

Ying Yueru revealed a faint smile. "So, you finally took some time to visit me. And I was wondering if you would have gotten bored with me."

Jason smiled, raising his hand to caress her cheek. "I will never get bored of you or others. You all have your charms. It's just whenever I'm with you, I want to forget about everything else and stay like this."

Sighing, he continued. "Maybe after killing the Sage Emperor, we all should just make a small house far from the prying eyes of everyone and live there."

Ying Yueru's eyes sparkled with a divine light as she put her hand on Jason's hand, feeling his warmth. "No. Everyone has their own paths to walk. And Husband's path is different from ours. And I know you understand it better than me in your heart."

Jason stared at her and sighed, nodding his head. How could he have not known?

Many questions in his heart would only get their answers after he traveled his path.

"Come here," Ying Yueru smiled and pulled him, putting his head on her thighs.

Jason smiled and laid down, using her thighs as pillows, closing his eyes. He didn't know why but he always felt very peaceful when he was close to her.

After the last time, she stopped using Heaven's Divination to calculate the destiny of others. Even though she still cultivated the technique, it was far less dangerous than before.

She also did a last calculation of her destiny, finding it getting tied to Jason. Since then she started addressing him as 'Husband'.

Jason found it weird at first but then let her be. He then forged a special artifact using the law of Time and Space for her which would hide her aura from the detection of Sage Emperor and his Deity servants.

Jason rarely paid a visit to her since he was always busy with something but she didn't feel angry regarding it.

Ying Yueru caressed his face, watching him sleep in her arms. 'Hehe... it did not matter how much you try to hide it behind that facade of strong personality. You are empty from the inside. Just how can a human be so detached and lonely in the vast world?'

Gazing at the sky from the window, she thought. 'What have you experienced to be like this? Maybe the other girls realize it too and that is why they kept him busy with their cheerful personalities and intimate moments.'

Jason ignorant of her thoughts slept soundly, feeling a voice calling out to him from the void as a few broken scenes flashed in front of his eyes, sending him into a deeper state.

The voice was speaking some ancient language that Jason couldn't understand.

In one view, he saw an enormous battle with a large number of people fighting against each other, painting both Heaven and Earth in red.

Another moment, he saw a man with horns, wielding a huge red scythe and a fairy-like woman wielding a pure white snow sword fighting against an entity draped in black robes.

Jason couldn't even make out if that robed guy was a man or even a woman.

But with every wave of their weapon, the space cracked and got destroyed. Those attacks were so powerful that Jason's move could not even compare to a quarter of their moves.

Even Jason's strongest move was not enough, like a child's play!

The view changed again turning to a scene of the man with horns holding the woman in his arms, crying the tears of blood. The wounds on her body were so grave that it was impossible to save her.

As for the black entity, it was lying on the throne lifeless.

Jason furrowed his brows, watching it in doubt.

'W-What is the meaning of this? What is going on here?'

But before he could even observe carefully, it was replaced with a bottomless darkness, swallowing him whole.

A voice exploded into his ears, bombarding his soul.

The voice was speaking a language that Jason couldn't understand. Still, he tried to repeat the words with all of his understanding...

Outside, Ying Yueru was moving his hand in Jason's hair slowly when suddenly, Jason's body was covered in runes, startling her.

The runes had a sentience of their own as they moved around Jason's body, covering it entirely.

Ying Yueru was caught off guard and tried to move but some of the runes latched on to her, immobilizing her.

'W-What is going on?'

Ying Yueru chanted her Heaven's Divination and tried to shed the runes off of her.

Boom!

An explosion blasted away the hut, destroying the place.

Ying Yueru opened his eyes and saw Jason hovering in the air, his eyes filled with divine light as his entire body was surrounded with golden tad pole-like characters, forming a cocoon-like structure.

But she didn't have time to watch this majestic sight as Jason raised his hand in that state and the runes on her body entered Ying Yueru's body as she also got covered in the mysterious golden tadpole characters, forming a barrier around both of them.

A seven-colored mist came out of Jason's body, forming a mysterious barrier around him and Ying Yueru...
