Jason had finished his cultivation and left the ground to continue his exploration. He could feel someone keeping an eye on him but he just ignored them. Even if he would not be able to defeat them if they confronted each other, he had enough methods at his disposal to retreat safely.
After exploring the place while plundering the treasures, Jason spent another week moving from the first to the seventh layer.
The seventh layer was filled with deep ravines and the only layer that disappointed him the most with no treasure to be found. It was filled with countless demonic creatures which had absorbed the Nether Law.
Jason just hacked them into pieces before moving forward but didn't dare to leave the cores of those demonic creatures.
Eighth layer of the Nine-Layered Deathlands
Jason finally arrived in the next layer. This piece of wilderness has dry cracks covering the ground and flames that rose and licked the sky. A scorching heat bore down on him there.
Looking at the distant end of the wilderness, he saw an imposing tower stood, ignited by black flames.
Covering the entire eight-layer with his spiritual sense, Jason didn't find any signs of life, well except for those who were watching him from above.
Jason flew towards the giant tower covered in flames. The structure of the tower was divided into a total of seven floors. The higher the floor, the darker the flames would become. The flames on the first floor still carried highlights of vivid scarlet, but the flames on the top floor would be pitch black, like ink.
In the face of the brewing heatwaves, Jason entered the Black Infernal Tower.
On the first floor, Jason didn't feel a thing, not even hot. Shaking his head, he slowly floated to the stairs and made his way to the second floor.
The second floor was also not much different from the first so he skipped it over, walking over to the third floor.
In the face of the brewing heatwaves, the group entered the Black Infernal Tower. Just as he stepped onto the third floor, a raging and deafening roar bombarded their ears.
When he turned their eyes in the direction of that roar, he saw that the walls were densely packed with a network of spiderweb-like iron chains. And the center of it all was a gigantic demon beast, furiously roaring.
Once the demon beast noticed that someone entered, it angrily struggled to break free from its restraints. However, the inscription patterns on the iron chains began glowing as a powerful energy picked up the demon beast and threw it against the wall.
Jason raised his head to observe the creature, his eyes lit up immediately. This demon beast looked somewhat like a cross between a deer and a tiger, with long pointy horns on its head. Its entire body was also covered in black scales.
'Hehe... it is the best choice to come here. It is a alive Celestial Qilin! And it has just reached the Heavenly Axis realm, far from reaching his adulthood!'
Walking over to the Celestial Qilin, Jason cracked his knuckles with an evil smile on his face that even sent a chill running down the spine of the mighty Celestial Qilin.
"Brat! you plan to kill me and seize my demonic spirit! Hmph, hmph! Well, aren't you naive? Do you think it's possible just by yourselves?" The Celestial Qilin tried to sound dangerous, as he roared at Jason but feeling the oppressive and bloodthirsty aura of Jason, he took a step back in fear.
While it was happening, the Nether Master and other experts were dumbfounded, watching even the Celestial Qilin that could even send them to oblivion being so scared of Jason.
But how could they know that the senses of Celestial Qilin are far sharper than any demon beast in the Divine continent? Even though he was chained, he could feel the terrifying danger from Jason, like a prey felt from being preyed on by a mighty predator.
"Is my eyes playing trick on me?"
"I'm supposed to just ask that!"
"It seems we're still underestimating the young fellow."
They saw Jason continue to walk over. Just as he reached close to the three meters of the Qilin beast, countless amounts of condensed bolts of lightning descended upon Jason.
"Look out!" Nether Master and others instinctively called out.
But Jason had no intention of dodging, waving his hand around, he slapped the bolts of lightning causing it to change its direction.
What?
Just what did they see?
Did he just slap the bolts of lightning that can turn the likes of them into ashes just like that?
Not only the Nether Master and others but even the Celestial Qilin were dumbfounded with their eyes bulging out and jaws hanging in the air.
What monstrous physical strength!
"Hahaha... I'm definitely dreaming with my eyes open." A robust man laughed loudly like a madman, his facial muscles twitching uncontrollably.
The others didn't look that much better than him, a bitter smile on their faces and sighing heavily...
Jason crackled his knuckles as he grinned at the Celestial Qilin beast. "Hmph! This is what you call an attack. An attack of such a low level can never do anything to me."
Clenching his fist, Jason charged at the chained beast.
"N-No! Stay away from me." The Celestial Qilin beast roared, trying to move to avoid the attack but to no avail because of those black chains.
Jason jumped in the air and slammed a fist into the face of the Celestial Qilin beast, sending it flying all the way to the opposite wall.
BOOM!
A deafening sound echoed on the third floor as the beast groaned in pain.
A Celestial Qilin really had a terrifying defense. Even at Jason's 70% physical strength, it didn't leave a wound on his body. But looking at the Celestial Qilin on the floor, the punch really did substantial damage if not break its bones.
On the other hand, Ming Fei and others went slacked jaws with their eyes threatening to jump out of their sockets.
After a few seconds, Ming Fei sighed. "I made the right call to not let the servants engage with him or else... they would be have been toast."
"What freakish strength! He damaged a Celestial Qilin despite it being a young one with just physical strength."
"Yeah. A Celestial Qilin is one of the strongest demon beasts in terms of raw strength with almost impenetrable defense."
The seven figures conversed with each other while a young handsome boy dressed in white robes looked at the pool of water with curious and amazed gaze. He had a very graceful and pure atmosphere around him. He had thin, long brows, gentle eyes, and a long nose. His skin was the color of white jade and as smooth as water, just like a young maiden. His eyes were elegant and full of spirit, without a hint of impurity...
Jason walked over to the beast and put a hand on his head as his energy seeped into the beast's body.
"You want to put a seal on me. Never!" The beast roared.
Jason smiled and a dark energy seeped out of his palm covering the giant beast in one fell swoop.
"Fine by me. I'll just devour you and then use your meat to cook a delicious meal later." Smiling like a devil, Jason said slowly.
