Back in Korea
Jin-Woo and Jin-Ho were working as usual in the guild. It was already late in the evening and they were planning to leave when out of nowhere Jin-Ho received a call.
His cheerful expression was replaced with a unique serious and down expression.
He approached Jin-Woo and told him the situation.
"I'm sorry, Hyung-nim. But it looks like I'll have to go back to my home."
Seeing how serious Jin-Ho's expression was, Jin-Woo couldn't help but ask.
"What happened?"
"I'm not too sure myself. It's just that, I've been told there's been an emergency at home and I need to go back immediately."
Jin-Woo stared at him for a moment and patted his shoulder, saying.
"Go ahead. And if you need anything, feel free to call me."
"Umm,"
Jin-Ho nodded his head and picked up his coat, quickly leaving the office in a hurry.
Jin-Ho took a ride to the hospital, his body trembling for no reason.
Just as he stepped out, he spotted Secretary Kim standing at the entrance. When Jin-Ho saw his swollen eyes, he immediately realized that something really bad had happened.
"Young master, please follow me."
"Ahjussi…."
'….What's going on….'
Jin-Ho so desperately wanted to ask that question. However, he was scared of the potential answer and couldn't mouth those three words.
"Please, hurry."
Secretary Kim signaled him to follow him.
"Ah…."
For some reason, though, Jin-Ho's feet didn't want to move from the spot.
Perhaps understanding what was going through the young man's head, Secretary Kim placed his hand on Jin-Ho's shoulder.
"Young Master, you need to stay strong in times like these. I shall explain everything on our way."
Jin-Ho's tears welled up from those words.
Secretary Kim explained Chairman Yoo's current condition to Jin-Ho as they made their way to his ward.
But Jin-Ho didn't want to believe it.
Unfortunately, he had no choice but to believe when he saw his sleeping father's face through the glass wall partition. He remained still as if he was dead.
At the same time, it felt like something in his heart had shattered to pieces.
"Dad!!"
Jin-Ho tried to rush into the hospital room, but the doctors quickly blocked his way.
The approach of a Hunter who couldn't control his magic energy leakage would only worsen the patient's condition. Hearing that explanation from the doctors, Jin-Ho's expression became a person whose soul had abandoned him.
"So, that's how it was…."
He was a son who always disappointed his father. And now, he couldn't even hold his father's hand for one last time, too. Faced with such a fitting end for himself, he couldn't even shed a tear anymore.
"I see. I've been a completely useless son, even till the end."
Jin-Ho turned on his heels in dejection.
Seeing the departed backs of Secretary Kim and Jin-Ho, a figure materialized in front of Chairman Yoo's ward.
'I think of you as my little brother just like Jin-Woo. How can you make such a face making me sad too? You little brat!...' Jason murmured as he activated 'Stealth' and waited patiently for the late at night.
When he felt that there was no one nearby, he undid his stealth and took out the superior healing elixir.
He carefully raised the upper torso of Chairman Yoo, opened his lips, and slowly poured in the elixir.
Very slowly, and only a small amount at a time.
"Cough."
The bottle became empty in no time at all.
Jason then lowered Chairman Yoo's upper torso back on the bed.
After checking Chairman Yoo's condition improving, he nodded his head with satisfaction.
Jason activated his 'Stealth' again and left the ward.
He took an elevator to the ground floor.
'I know it's a bit early, but well, happy birthday, Jin-Ho.'
*Ting!*
The elevator stopped on the ground floor and opened its door.
Jason exited the hospital and returned to Japan since the girl was still waiting for him. And she would complain if he disappeared without telling her.
...
Jason brought Jin-Woo to Japan by using the Shadow Exchange ability to let him convert those giants into Shadow soldiers.
Jin-Woo was startled to see the huge monsters and even more so when he learned that Jason hunted them.
And yet he was slightly disappointed since Jason didn't invite him at all in such a fun time.
On that same day, in the evening, Jason saw Jin-Woo arranging a battle against the Giants to appoint a leader for their team. And to tell the truth, Jason couldn't help but suppress the urge to beat the shit out of Jin-Woo more than anything else for that.
And seeing that the situation was perfect, Jason then decided to teach him about the Death Law which was a perfect match with his own powers.
A day passed quickly and Jason spent the evening with Kanae since he was going back to Korea the next day.
The employees from the Japanese Hunter's Association came to escort Jason since Jin-Woo had returned to Korea with the help of his skill to exchange his position with his shadow soldier.
The entire First-class suite was booked for him so nobody would disturb Jason.
And soon, the black sedan carrying them headed off toward the airport.
When they reached the airport, they saw a very large group of people gathered outside the airport.
"…"
Jason became utterly speechless and silently stared outside, while the Association employee spoke to him in a clearly excited voice.
"Everyone gathered here today all wanted to see you at least once before you depart, Hunter-nim."
Jason sighed and stepped out of the sedan, staring at the sea of people. He smiled and raised his hand, waving at them.
The crowd cheered in happiness watching him smile at them.
Jason spent a minute watching the admiration of everyone for him. He then chuckled to himself before he made his way to the plane, boarding it.
