"Hyung-nim, you don't have to accompany me every time, you know?" Jin-Woo grumbled.

"Do you have a problem with it?" Jason asked, raising his eyebrow at him.

"No, I don't say that."

"Then let's go already."

Jason and Jin-Woo stood in front of the Daesung Tower in Stealth mode, ready to raid the burning tower. Since there was nothing fun to do outside, Jason decided to accompany Jin-Woo.

Jin-Woo took out the Demon's Castle Key from the inventory.

It was a long, slender, golden key. At a casual glance, it even resembled a fancy decorative item.

The surrounding view suddenly transformed as soon as he stepped across the invisible boundary.

*Rumble*

They could already hear the sounds of flames burning from this far away.

The giant tower enveloped in flames – the Demon's Castle, replacing the Daesung Tower, filled up his entire view.

Jin-Woo stored the Demon's Castle Key and took out an ash-grey key.

*Creak*

He didn't even do anything, yet the huge pair of doors began moving as the hinges issued loud creaks.

*Slam!*

Jin-Woo was flustered next.

He had had his Perception expanded to the max, yet he couldn't sense a single presence of monsters from beyond the castle gates.

'There are no monsters??'

Jason took a step inside and moved forward. He observed the place and said to Jin-Woo pointing at the front.

"This dungeon is different from the other ones. The real fight will happen inside. Follow me!"

Jin-Woo swallowed his saliva and followed him closely.

Just as he stepped inside, a mechanical beep rang in his head.

After reading the content, a smile appeared on his face.

Jason saw his smile and said, "Don't be happy so early! The reward will only be available after the quest is finished."

Jin-Woo scratched his head with a smile.

"I'll see you smile when you take a look at this first," Jason said as he pointed at the interior of the demon castle.

'Heok?!'

Jin-Woo's eyes widened immediately once he did.

*Wuuuuu*

Inside the castle was…. a ruined city. Quite unexpectedly, it was a field-type dungeon.

'What is this place? Is this Seoul?'

If everyone in Seoul died and a hundred years had passed by, would the city look like this?

Jin-Woo's eyes narrowed to a slit.

'So, like, where should I go now?'

"Let's start from there." Jason pointed at a pillar of light that stretched beyond the sky, standing in place of the famed Namsan Tower.

Jin-Woo nodded his head and began walking in that direction.

However, their steps had to come to a stop not long after.

"Kekeke."

"Kekekek."

Monsters with smallish physical sizes began creeping out from the gaps of ruined buildings, one by one.

'Low-Ranked Demon!'

"Do you need a hand?" Jason asked in a joking tone, teasing Jin-Woo.

Jin-Woo smiled, "Hah, no need, Hyung-nim. I'm enough for these weaklings."

Right away…

*Kwajeeck!*

The 'Baruka's Dagger' pierced deeply into the forehead of one of the demons.

The moment the demons' attention had shifted to the one with the dagger stuck to its forehead, Jin-Woo pounced on them like a predator pouncing on its prey.

The remaining demons were taken care of in the blink of an eye.

Jason watched him hunting the demons with a satisfied expression.

'The kid's growing up at a fast pace. But it's just the beginning.'

It took him two hours to hunt all the demons on the first floor. After that, they moved to the second floor using the entry permit.

Jason didn't extract their shadows as the demons were too weak.

They continued to climb at a tremendous rate and in a matter of four days, they reached the 50th floor.

"Huh, Hyung-nim, what happened?" Jin-Woo saw Jason's bored expression and asked cautiously.

"You bastard! You're having all the fun and asking me what happened."

"Hehe..."

"Well, let's rap it quickly and go out for a drink."

"Yes, Hyung-nim."

They then shifted their attention toward the pillar of light. More specifically, a short distance in front of that pillar.

And a massive demon, plus scores of high-ranked demons, were standing there, waiting.

Jin-Woo raised his sight higher.

And he could see the giant demon's name, floating in the air in a deep crimson hue.

[The Sovereign of the Lower Floors, The Avaricious Vulcan]

Jason had already observed it closely and that demon was something that would make a good shadow soldier.

"I wish you luck," Jason said with a smile as he turned around to distance himself. He had already found a good spot from where he could see everything.

Shadow soldiers were summoned behind Jin-Woo. Not just the regular foot soldiers, but also the magic soldiers, the beast soldiers, as well as the two knights, too.

And in front of them stood Jin-Woo.

The two knights strode forward and stood on either side of him.

Jin-Woo formed a plan in his mind and ordered his shadow soldier to initiate the attack.

When Jin-Woo gave his signal, flames flew out from the hands of the magic soldiers.

*Swiiiish*

*Swiiish!*

*Kaboom!!*

The flames exploded near the subordinates of Vulcan, signaling the beginning of the operation.

Jason looked at the fight as he took out food that he had prepared before to enjoy it. He was feeling like he was watching a movie right now.

He saw how Jin-Woo was nearly beaten by Vulcan. Jin-Woo was only able to win with a little luck on his side.

"Hahaha... you nearly got your ass whooped by the big guy, huh?" Jason said while trying to hold his laughter.

"Yeah, I really underestimated that big guy." Even though Jin-Woo didn't like but he still admitted it.

"Still want to climb forward?"

"I have to. The quest is still going on." Jin-Woo replied, his face revealing his fatigue.

"Alright, let's check your rewards first then I'll tell you a little more about your power," Jason said in a serious tone for the first time.

"My power?"

Jin-Woo was also shocked. In these past months, he had never seen his big brother so serious.

He quickly collected all his rewards before coming back to Jason.

Jason looked at him with a deep smile before he asked, "Before I answer you, first tell me your thoughts about your power!"

"My thoughts?"

"Yeah, what do you think your power is?"

"Well..." Jin-Woo scratched his head as he tried his best to explain. "I can't say for sure. But as you know I can summon the dead and add them to my army."

"What you say is only a part of it?" Jason shook his head and said with a smile. "Your power is... the control over death."

"Control over death?!" Jin-Woo was clearly taken aback by this remark. He had never put so much thought into it so it was a little surprising.

Jason nodded and began how it all started.
