'Kill if I don't want to be killed, is that it?'
The contents were pretty shocking, but Jin-Woo's fluster didn't remain for long. No, his flustered mind rapidly calmed down as he reached his decision.
After making his decision, he got up from the rubble.
Intense malice filled up Jin-Woo's eyes.
He began walking towards Hwang Dong-Suk.
"What the heck?"
Hwang Dong-Suk and his goons had been surrounding the scared Yoo Jin-Ho, so they ended up discovering Jin-Woo rather belatedly.
"What's going on here? He's still alive."
"Hyung-nim, let me handle this kid."
A Hunter with tiny little eyes approached Jin-Woo and placed his arms around the latter's neck.
"It looks like you Mister haven't figured the situation out yet, but the thing is…. Eh?"
The expression of the tiny eyes became weirder and weirder as he strengthened his arms.
'…What the hell? Why can't I pull him down?'
He tried to perform a headlock with his physical strength, but no matter how hard he pulled,
Jin-Woo's upper body showed no sign of budging.
Wasn't this bastard supposed to be only a rank E?!
Cold sweat formed on the forehead of the tiny eyes.
'How could he be this strong…."
It happened then.
[The number of enemies left to kill: 7]
[The number of killed enemies: 1]
'Seven left.'
...
At this time, Jason stopped watching the raid. He was using the skill to connect his senses with his shadow.
'Good. You need to be strong-willed and ruthless to stand beside me. The soft heart will be a hindrance to people like us anyway. But that Jin-Ho's guy looks funny when he took Jin-Woo as a murderer psychopath! But it's cute tho... At least he is more loyal than anyone.'
While he was lost in thought, someone knocked on his door.
*Knock!* *Knock!* *Knock!*
"Come in. The door is open."
The door opened and Cha Hae-In peeked her head inside.
Jason laughed lightly, waving his hand. "Come inside. I'll not bite."
Cha Hae-In blushed, stepping in and closing the door behind. "Am I disturbing you?"
"Even if you will, I'll put away my work. So what can you do for my girl?" Jason put his hand on the table and asked.
Her face flushed red, Cha Hae-In spoke. "Well... I missed you. Do you think... we can..."
Jason observed her reaction and said. "So cute! Hehe... let's go to your place after the work hours are finished."
"O-Okay," Cha Hae-In jumped in joy, her ears twitching as she excitedly left the office.
"Hehe... when are you going to introduce our new sister to everyone?" Xiao Yu entered the office and asked with a mischievous grin.
Jason stood up from his seat and kissed her cheek. "Soon. Very soon. How are things going on Shuyun and Yueru's end?"
"We're supposed to get good news in a few days." Xiao Yu thought for a moment before replying.
Jason smiled and asked her to pass his message to Shuyun and Yueru to get the job done and not give any chance to the other party.
Xiao Yu noted it and left the office, leaving him alone.
Jason then waited since he knew Jin-Woo would come here first thing and just like he predicted, Jin-Woo knocked on his office door fifteen minutes later.
"Hyung-nim, you'll not believe what happened to me?"
"Oh?" Jason faked a surprised expression, asking. "Make me surprised!"
Jin-Woo excitedly shared his experience regarding today's raid. About how the raid Jason set up was with a group of lizards and how they almost tried to kill him.
The quest that popped out of nowhere and finally how he killed all of them.
Jason silently listened to his story like a good listener finding it very intriguing. At the end, he asked the question that he wanted to ask.
"Then, do you regret it?"
"Umm," Jin-Woo closed and thought hard for a few minutes before replying with confidence. "No. I don't regret it. They are the ones who tried to kill me first so I just take care of some criminals."
Jason stared into his eyes and nodded his head. "Not bad, kid. You take it in a better way than I previously thought. This world is a jungle. If you don't become a predator then you'll become prey for someone."
Standing up, he walked over to him and patted his shoulder. "Anyway, good job for today. Now, go home and take a rest. Don't think it too much."
"Yes, Hyung," Jin-Woo smiled, feeling very grateful before he retreated, planning to go back home for today.
*Ring* *Ring*
Just as he left, the phone in his office began to make a sound.
Jason picked it up and put it close to his ear.
- "This is Woo Jin-Chul."
"Ah, what can I do for you, Chief Woo?" Jason asked playfully.
- "There is a big problem."
"Oh, what makes you so worried?" Jason had an idea of what he was going to say.
- "I find that you sent Hunter Sung on today's raid."
"Oh, that! Yes, I did it. I want him to gain some experience after he finishes his training."
- "Well, the problem is one of the men who died in today's raid is actually the elder brother of Hwang Dongsoo."
"The S-rank hunter who left Korea for the USA?"
- "Yes, it's him. I'm worried that Hwang Dongsoo will do something to Hunter Sung."
"Then you don't have to worry about it at all. Since I'll contact Andre and tell him about the situation. Despite that, if Hwang Dongsoo tried to do anything in Korea then he still had to pass through me first."
- "But-"
"Tell Chairman that as long as I'm here, he can just sleep peacefully, okay?" Jason put down the receiver, cutting the call.
He picked up his coat and left the building, walking into the parking where Cha Hae-in was waiting for him, standing in front of her car.
She showed a bright smile at his appearance and hugged him.
Jason patted her back and the duo climbed into the car, driving it away towards her villa.
