Today was the day of the student council president candidates' meeting. The candidates had to gather in the audiovisual room and receive a lecture about the S High School and its student council. The current student council member would also attend to supervise the meeting, so this could be a chance for the candidates to appeal themselves.
Mr. Hudson advised me to make a short speech just in case, so that was what I did. I remained in the classroom to finish my speech when Cassian tapped my desk lightly using his finger.
I turned my head and found him holding my physics notebook. "Eirlys, this is your book. Thank you for lending it to me."
"Oh, you're welcome." I took the book, stuffed it into my bag, and resumed writing my speech.
"What are you doing?" Cassian leaned in to see what I wrote. "Is it a speech script?"
I nodded. "The election is coming up soon. Mr. Hudson told me to get ready for it."
