"I heard from Yale that you got into wealth because you found your aunt." Lace said quickly, startling me out of my thoughts. "You never told me you had an aunt."
"I didn't even know until she helped me find her," I said, playing with the grass at my feet. "Do you remember what they said about the drug they gave me?"
"Yeah. How could I forget?" Lace said, brows furrowed as he refused to look me in the eyes. "I had to watch them inject the fucking drug into your body and watch as they started to fuck you while you were barely conscious and hardly able to resist against them.
