"Are you alright?" Lace asked with not a hint of concern in his voice. Instead, it sounds more like he is just asking that out of courtesy and not because he worried about me.
"Of course not. I had no idea he had to go through something like that. And why wouldn't he tell me?" I asked, burying my face in my hands. "I wish he was a little more open with me."
"You can't blame him for not wanting to open up entirely about his past." The man said, sitting down on the grass beside me, staring up at the cloudy skies without so much as a care in the world. "For people like him, those kinds of memories are not something they would like to remember or even talk about to their loved ones.
