"What did she say?" Bil asked, leaning on me. "She's hiding in the bathroom?"
"Yale?" I asked, concern fully evident in my voice. "Should I come to pick you up? Are you alright?"
"I am alright. I just ... well, it has been a while since I have to be in one of these things." She chuckled but I can hear the strain in her voice.
"You don't have to try and pretend if you do not feel comfortable, Yale," I said, furrowing my brows into the phone. "If you need me, I am just one call away."
"Yeah. I know." She said, voice turning soft. "But I really am alright. Why did you call me anyway?"
"Well, I asked Bil to dinner with me and he is worried that you will mind." I turned to the boy who just waved his hands in the air frantically. "I think he is feeling shy or something like that now."
He sighed as he slapped his forehead, turning from me. I really cannot understand other people, not even Yale sometimes.
