"I see," I said, looking at the woman in front of me. "That's great. Where is she?"
"What is she talking about, Zion?" Lucille asked, walking to us with a tray of tea. "Would you like some? I think you are Zion and Yale's … guardian?"
"I am," Suki said, nodding at Lucille. "And I am talking about the person they told me to find."
"Find?" Core asked, looking at us.
Why are they always looking at us? Are we that interesting? I thought, shaking my head. Need to be courteous. Just slightly more courteous because they did help us.
"Yes, do you all remember Athena?" Yale said, almost as though she sensed my slight annoyance. I am running very low on my social battery. I wish I could fall asleep on someone's warm chest.
"That woman that disappeared one day?" Maya asked, playing with a lock of her hair. "I have seen her around before but she suddenly stopped appearing."
