A couple of hours ago,
"Rufus, this is the ground floor, right?" I asked, looking around the room. "Why are there no cameras here?"
"Well, there isn't anything too important on his floor, so I just decided to save on money and not install them." He said, smiling at us.
"I see," Mia said, nodding.
"The crime rate here is also pretty much nonexistent," Yale added, arms locked around mine. "So I can see why he did not put any cameras here."
"Well, there is that, and also because this place was where my family would stay while I worked. My children destroyed the only working CCTV camera by mistake." He said, pointing to the broken camera hanging from the wall. "After they died, I could not bring myself to change it."
"I see," I said, looking at the broken camera closely. There is no way someone would be able to access it and try to make it work without personally coming there and fixing it by hand.
