Jacob insists that I get used to the cage so that I'm not freaking out at bedtime, and I roll my eyes at him but go and sit inside anyhow. He should know by now cultivators spend long periods sitting in one spot. I'm not sure if I can cultivate right now, with everything locked away, but I'm going to try once they are asleep.
I can still feel that Karl is relaxed, but I can't get through to him. Unless he's in the middle of a breakthrough, the link must be blocked.
It's not like he could do much anyhow; listening to conversations today in the Mayor's office gave the impression that the only beings in the city that aren't slaves are the Titan Clan. If that's the case, trying to get to me would make him look like a runaway slave; there's no way to pass it off as regular activity.
