Now that Duke Marianne has been cured of his curse we return to the hallway and head for dinner. The other nobles we pass are all dressed as we are, Summer Casual, so at least the Prince wasn't pranking us. Most of them look horribly out of place though, like they're so stuffy that they don't ever do casual wear.
"There's more guests here, but I'm not sure when they arrived." The Duke tells me, looking at the table settings. This room is interesting, the far end of the table is down a set of steps, so Nephilim sized guests and human sized ones can all be seated at the same level, as opposed to the Nephilim King who used high chairs to make up the difference. The table is still quite high though, sized for the Demon King, who is quite tall for a human and sits on a throne like chair. Clearly everyone else is expected to adjust to what makes him comfortable.
An incredible level of Kingly flex. I'm impressed.
