After the 2 days of sleeping I had finally awoken and it seems that I was right on time to see the daily training of the new archer unit who by the way have reached an average strength of mid copper tier as well as gaining the marksmen class. Once Allen the recently appointed leader of the unit saw me walking up he greeted me and filled me in on the progress they made in two days, thankfully the artisans had successfully made 50 crossbows before I woke up and now they're working on another 50.
After I visited with Allen for a bit I walked over to the other side of the training area to see the warriors and when I got there I was surprised to see an extra 50 had joined to make a grand total of 100 melee warriors, once I got there I talked with Victor and he told me the average tier between the warriors is peak copper tier with the newest 50 members being in the mid copper tier and there being 10 commanders who were at least early bronze tier including Lang who was a mid bronze tier and Alejandro who successfully reached early iron tier. after seeing everyone's strength I got to thinking about how if all these people reach bronze and gain another 100 years of life and so on, won't the world be overpopulated, and that's when the system chimed in.
[Like I've told you before, although the lifespan may be that high the expectancy is almost half because of wars and other mishaps that come with reaching higher levels]
After that exchange with the system, I spent the rest of the 8 days I had left inspecting the village and making preparations for the war, like handing out armor which although rushed would ultimately help and handing out the stone weapons. before we departed on the 4-day journey I did a census on our strength and was happy to find out that of the 150 footsoldiers everyone was at least mid to peak copper tier and although they weren't bronze tier, after training in the special area the system made they could very well be the strongest in their tiers, the way the infantry were laid out was for the 100 melee warriors there would be one bronze tier commander in charge of 10 men and at the top in charge of all 110 soldiers combined(including the commanders) there would be Alejandro who was an early iron tier elite who also had prior experience leading men out to fight. within the 50 archers, there were 10 early bronze tier commanders in charge of a 5 man squad including themselves, and at the top was Allen, who although was also an early bronze tier he was undoubtedly the most accurate and effective marksmen we have. and then you have Victor who will be helping Torg against the enemy chief and you have Leo and me, I decided to keep Leo close by, although he reached early bronze tier he was our only mage besides me so I wanted to safeguard him while he and I bombard the enemy army with fireballs and in his case earth spikes. once I was done we set out to go help Torg in this battle, not only because we're allies but also because the Valley tribe had shown interest in enslaving my tribe and we can't let that fly, can we.
(4 Days later)
"Haha, It's great to see you again Shin! Woah, I didn't think you'd be able to raise an army this strong, and wait... you're almost to iron tier, aren't you," said Torg. "Seems I can't sneak anything past you, huh, and thanks, I didn't think I could raise my warrior's levels so much, oh right, I need to show you my "new" invention called the crossbow," I said.
After the greeting, I lead Torg over to where Allen was standing and told Torg to watch, then I asked Allen to shoot a tree 300 yards away, when Torg heard this he said I was impossible but without hesitation, Allen took aim and shot, and once we went to check we saw that he hit a squirrel that was climbing up the tree, needless to say when Torg and his men saw this they lost their shit, first it started with the bombardment of questions then they went to Allen and asked if he had placed that there before, once the excitement died down, Torg came up to me and asked if I could trade the blueprint to him, at first I was surprised he didn't just straight up ask for the blueprint but then I realized I had just made history with what arguably will be the best invention till the use of metal comes around, so we came to an agreement that if I traded it to him he would, in turn, send enough villagers to bring the population up to 300 which may not seem like much since their tribe amounts to 850 people but to me this was invaluable because that would also help kickstart reproduction in the tribe to increase our numbers and some might even inlist into our make-shift army.
Once the negotiations were over Torg, Victo, Lang, and I plus the elders of Torgs tribe sat down for a strategy meeting which quite frankly I'm surprised they use strategy, anyways, we got down to the details like when the archers would unleash a volley of arrows and we chose which commanders for Allen to assassinate, once that was done I told Torg about how the pack of 100 dire wolves left a day before us under the leadership of Ash to go and scout the area we would meet the enemy and to lay in wait for an ambush. "So once we reach the field and start the battle when I feel like the enemy is sufficiently focussed on us I'll send the signal to Ash to unleash the wolves and for him to fight in the shadows then we-
After I had gotten that message I told the rest of the war party and we immediately set out and organized our armies. After a couple of hours of marching, we made it to the field, and with one hour to spare, at first, I was going to suggest we use trenches to hide our troops but then I realized that would take at least a day so instead, we went with waves of attacks were the crossbow unit under me would post up in the trees and shoot at the soldiers of the front line to disorganize them, then the archers from the Twin lake tribe would shoot waves of arrows onto the enemies and once the chaos started our melee troops would rush in and kill whoever was in the way and after 10 minutes someone would blow a horn and that pattern would continue, all while Allen was making his way through the woods and taking out as many of their bronze tier warriors he could.
(1 hour later)
*Loud war horn noise*
"Everyone get ready, They're here! archer to your stations! Warriors! Get ready to charge when I say!" once we had heard the horn of the enemy tribe I immediately started anding out instructions and ordering people to get in position, "Once they're within range archers unleash a volley of arrows! after the three volleys warriors rush out and prepare for battle!" after, I went to Leo to tell him to start preparations, "Leo, on my signal, I need you to relay to Ash to lead the wolves in a pincer attack, can you do that for me?" I asked, "I-I think, y-yes I can, I can do it chief!" he said while shaking, "Great, remember, you are to stay in the back lines using magic to disrupt the enemies, by no means should you advance into the battle, Understood?" I said, "Yes!"

Tank had been a normal hunter in the Valley tribe until the new chief started forming an army, considering he had early bronze tier strength he was confident in getting an important position when he had been told he was only in charge of a 10 man squad he was the least to say mad but his brightened up when he was told he would be leading the charge against the savages of the Twin lake tribe, but his ultimate goal... kill the new chief of the Erebus tribe, when he found out a new tribe was aiding the enemy he wasn't scared or mad, on the contrary, he was excited, he always dreamed of killing the chief of an enemy tribe and now he could, so now all he had to do was wait for the order to charge and start showing his might.
Once the horn was blown Tank charged with all his might but as he was running he heard screams of terror and pain ring out around him, so he looked around and when he saw an arrow fall into an Allie he slowly looked up and to his horror, there was a sea of arrows coming their way, of course, Tank wouldn't let his life end this way so instead he grabbed one of the weaker warriors and held them up in front of himself and let the arrows hit. Once the arrows stopped he dropped the now pin cushion of a body and ran towards the enemies that were coming over the horizon, but what happened next was out of everyone's expectations, instead of clashing with the humans in front out of the woods came roughly 100 wolves charging at the warriors after a good 20 warriors fell to the wolves everyone regained their composure but the copper warriors were no match for the dire wolves, in the fight Tank was trying his best to not kill any allies when swinging however when two wolves jumped at him he swung his giant stone ax and killed the two wolves and accidentally the warrior that was next to him but Tank didn't care as he thought his life was worth more than a random grunt. After a few minutes Tank decided he had enough and was about to charge through the wolves but then, he saw it... a jet black wolf who was 1.6 meters tall and 2.2 meters long jumping from shadow to shadow killing soldiers left and right before this Tank hadn't had many challenges against beast nor men so he charged hoping for a challenge... little did he know... he had just signed his death warrant.
so hoping for a challenge he charged and when the wolf sensed him the wolf turned his bright crimson red eyes and Tank felt like the wolf had just looked into his soul, nonetheless he charged and when he got close enough he swung his ax at the wolf only for it to bounce off the skin of the creature, now a little scared, Tank took the defensive route and tried to get ready for any attack the wolf could throw at him, then he felt something warm rolling down his neck and chest, and when he looked a frightened look was plastered on his face, it was his own blood and the cause was a deep slash on his throat, and just like that that once hopeful warrior died with a look of terror forever plastered on his face.

huh, cool.
"Chief! the enemy is retreating, it seems the enemy chief isn't going to come out today!" said Allen
"That's great news, do you know if they have any reinforcements coming?" I asked
"No sir, from what I can see they're preparing to launch a full-frontal assault with the last 100 copper warriors and their chief will lead the charge," said Allen
"I see... well thanks for scouting, you can go back and rest with the others," I said
so it seems like they're betting it all on their chief overpowering us, however little do they know we have 2 iron tier elites and I'm close to breaking through for both paths, now all we have to do is wait until either I reach iron tier or they attack so no-
