Chapter 136 - Basic Technological Civilisation

"How the Fuck did it reach that amount?!" Esmond couldn't help but yell at Echo as the two were heading over to the hotel where the Layla, Amelia and the others currently were.

Echo earlier explained to Esmond while he was still over on Astelan that the girls nearly racked up a bill of more than half a billion in one day.

At first Esmond couldn't believe Echo's words, but after he returned to the Space to clean up before heading to Melbourne, he checked to see the latest transactions of his bank account, only to find the girls had spent $679,645,000 in the last few hours.

Due to the time dilation that occurred when someone entered the Hunting Grounds or its Gated Grounds like Stovi and Astelan, someone could be gone for hours and hours, only to return and find out barely any time had passed.

Currently Rahzil and Carter remained to help fix the issues plaguing the Sect after the battle while he retuned to Earth, so Esmond wasn't worried about a sudden uprising but based off what he'd seen, the work would be extensive to fix the Sect and the region under its influence.

A large sum of recourses were brought over to Astelan by Carter to help with the rebuilding of the Sect.

Though it didn't pain Esmond to see so many resources go, since he included the Exalted Night Heavenly Sect as his own, the space of land in the Sects control neared dozen times the size of Australia's landmass.

The number of resources required to improve the entire region would take a long time to complete and Esmond felt it might lead Carter to not focus on his other tasks.

Even though Echo informed him Carter wouldn't fail to accomplish the other tasks, Esmond worried Astelan would cause more work for the Spatial Ark Star World.

.

"You told the girls to have 'fun', so they did exactly that.

Even then I have to say, the purchases they've made are quite… smart." Echo examined the information from the city council and government which explained the development of nearby areas to the purchases.

The old skyscraper May purchased happened to be one of the better choices of the ladies since several new developments were creating shopping districts and malls nearby.

In line with the business plans for the future, the rebuilt skyscraper would be right beside a high traffic zone that would allow people to notice the business.

While Echo praised the effort of the girls to make purchases with a decent return in the future, Esmond couldn't help but think about the situation in the Space before he arrived in Melbourne.

Currently Reigo the Cybertronian had taken the form of an SUV, with Esmond and Echo in the backseat, as it drove the two towards the hotel where the girls rested for the time being.

They had Reigo drive them to the hotel because Esmond spent some time catching up with certain tasks in the Space that needed his attention.

However, the results were far beyond his understand such as the Dwarf Smith and the World Tree.

The seedling of the World Tree was planted near the site of the Third proposed city within the Space on the mainland and a couple of hours away from sprouting.

Esmond never expected to be rewarded a World Tree because he knew they were difficult to find and desired highly among the galactic society.

It would endow people under its protection with endless power and fortune if they wished, making the World Trees highly desirable among all walks of life.

Esmond in another life had achieved the protection of a World Tree, albeit too late to completely understand the power within his grasp, but in the short time they were connected, Esmond felt godly levels of strength.

If he wanted all life to end, it was entirely possible with a click of his finger but Esmond at the time had to use his strength to revitalise the planet.

Unfortunately, he ended up dying at the hands of extremises Elves that hate humans, especially those who were on their side during the war against the foreigners from the skies.

He couldn't understand the true potential of their connection, but Esmond hoped the World Tree in the Spatial Ark Star World could help with terraforming planets.

It was one of the reasons Carter was tasked with creating a starship to take Esmond to a particular star sector within the Milky Way Galaxy.

Esmond knew if he could arrive at the planet before the space faring empire, the planet and its World Tree could be saved.

However, the plan now changed to take the planets inhabitants as his own, especially the Elves who would greatly help manage the World Tree within the Space.

.

The Dwarf ended up with Kizelar and taken to the smithery of the Raibeelze Library, where Halkgon started working excitedly on dozens of projects the scholar gave him.

Esmond wanted to meet the Dwarf later, but for now Kizelar needed him to help produce equipment for the students on Astelan that'd taken up residence in the Sect.

Eventually Kizelar wanted the Dwarf to teach students how to forge as well but neither he or Esmond expected the Space to recognise the Dwarven Race and add their genetic code to the Summoning Square.

The spawned dwarves underwent orientation while Halkgon spent his time before the forge, utilising the time dilation feature of the library to affect his time smithing.

.

Similarly, the Aephaelian civilisation, their culture, history, and knowledge all were added to the Spatial Ark Star World and already going through orientation to understand what their new lives meant.

The Bio-Field Academy joined onto the Necthea Institute and already underwent some changes to add the systems of the Space and Virtual Labs across the building.

Once the spawned Aephaelian were ready to start working, Esmond expected a great deal of effort from them.

He knew a lot about their legend, especially their working in improving the lives of their people and society.

Esmond hoped they would help to improve the lives of his people within the Space and outside.

Echo already knew to prepare a pharmaceutical company which would largely consist of Aephaelians working to create solutions to the health concerns of Earths humanity.

Because the Aephaelian appeared similar to humans except for a few distinct features like their vertical pupils and tall height stature, even among the shorter people of their kind.

Ranging anywhere from 180cm to 300cm and slightly more so, the Aephaelian were biologically like humans beside their great heights.

.

The Starbase was already in Carter's control and being checked to for areas to be improved upon, such as the equipment to create the starships.

Carter trusted the equipment used to create the Starbase was powerful however there were various ways to improve it, especially with the autonomous drones capable of performing the production tasks.

Of course, recreational areas were needed as well as vibrant gardens and large bodies of water for relaxation as well as cities and shops for the people that'd come to call the Starbase home.

While it wouldn't leave the Spatial Ark Star World any time soon, the military equipment it possessed was enough for Esmond to rethink some of his plans going ahead.

The autonomous military drone system connected to the Starbase could greatly help protect Earth one day, especially against the incoming Ashtrok Empire.

.

Thinking about all the changes that'd already occurred within the Spatial Ark Star World in a short time, Esmond didn't process Echo's praise of the ladies work to purchase in up-and-coming areas within Melbourne.

"Echo… tell me…

With everything we have in the Space… why don't we already start our warpath?"

"Because… it'll cause the social problems of the world to be pushed back for nearly a century, causing a major problem for the Empire in the future.

By delaying our takeover until 2020 or 22, we can follow the lead up until World War 3 to help our cause lead the future of humanity."

Echo wasn't overly fond of the suggested timeline Carter calculated that would be optimal for Esmond's takeover of Earth and the Solar System.

The original idea was to take over Earth by 2012 or at least start the battle then across Earth yet Carters new processing powers allowed him to look ahead with the help of the Virtual World to perform simulations and calculations with high success.

Surprisingly, Esmond had a greater chance of the world accepting his rule in 2022 than 2012 if he forced a war instead of slowly expanding his influence.

For this reason, Echo had already established a pharmaceutical company that'd operate out of Adelaide as well as increasing the number of labs and technicians.

The Aephaelian scientists and those of the Necthea Institute would quickly create solutions to all sorts of problems plaguing the world, but even then, Carter wanted to delay certain treatments being released to the public.

Hospitals and academies needed to be created in conjunction with Esmond's businesses to help increase his public presence, so people understood who developed humanity.

Before he could think more about the subject, Reigos spoke up, with his voice reverberating throughout the inside of the SUV cabin.

"Master, we have arrived…"
