Chapter 117 - Esmonds Disturbed Zen

"Fuck!" the heavy sound of a desk phone being slammed down echoed throughout the entire floor of the office floor.

In a corner room office that had just gone through a renovation, updating the decorations to appear more friendly for someone entering the room.

A grey-haired man, with a deep receding hair line, was sitting behind the desk massaging his temple points on either side of his head.

"Where the hell has Schmuel run off too!!" he cursed aloud in the office, alone and annoyed that one of his very best agents had disappeared completely.

As one of the executive supervisors that controlled and managed operatives of Mossad, Leib couldn't understand where Schmuel had run off too.

In no way did Leib believe Schmuel had gone wrong and joined Hamas or any other rival agency.

Schmuel was also Leibs nephew, which greatly emphasised his importance to the intelligence agency.

"Sir…

Internal Investigations on Line 1." Leibs secretary walked in and placed some papers down on the desk.

She raced in and out of the office, not wanting to face the angry tirade that might befall her by accident if she stayed any longer.

Grumbling under his breath, Leib cursed the person who would be on the other end of Line 1, because it wasn't going to be good news.

.

"What is it…" Leibs bit down on his bottom lip to calm the anger within him bubbling up to the surface.

"Leib… *Sigh*…

We have a problem… that's much worse than I expected…" said the man on the other end of the call, as his voice resonated grief.

He continued to speak while Leib focused in on the breath going in and out, "It appears… Hamas… has lost… Husan…"

Leib nearly choked on the air around him when he heard the name Husan.

Because of the situation with Palestine, Israel Intelligence knew of key assets and one of those beings was Husan, who was infamous among all Mossad agents for his success in the field.

The only person who could ever compete with Husan and nearly end his life was Schmuel, so the only conclusion Leib could come to in his mind was the two must have fought.

Either both had died, or they were heavily injured and currently hiding from the other.

Not wanting to continue with the call, Leib put the phone down and hung up, as memories of his dear nephew replayed in his mind.

'Where are you my boy…'

.

Thankfully Leib had no idea what his nephew was doing and if he did, there was no way he would have been grieving for Schmuel.

"Schmuel…

Head left… and I'll go right."

"Ugh… do as you please, Husan…" Schmuel felt disgusted he was working beside his sworn enemy, especially when it meant attacking his homeland.

Husan smiled under the CE-01 Armoured Suits helmet, before charging right down the long corridor of the Mossad headquarters in Tele Aviv.

Excited that he had the opportunity to attack the core institution which had affected him for many years and Hamas, Husan went all out on the offensive, even if it was simulated within the Virtual World.

Schmuel had a harder time killing his countrymen, yet it needed to be done and fast, without leaving any witnesses.

The plan was to capture the headquarters of Mossad and disrupt all of the communications sent out to the operatives, before sending out the droids to capture them once their positions were confirmed.

Right now, the tasks were left to the Special Forces recruits and the clones within the Virtual World, allowing them all to get a sense of warfare, even if it was all virtual.

.

Husan and Schmuel made quick work of any trouble they came across within the walls of the Mossad headquarters, as another team kept control and surveillance on the outside.

While clearing every level of the building, Schmuel struggled watching the various men and women fall to his blade and sidearm, making quick work of everyone.

Not knowing if Husan was tormenting every foe or not, he came across, Schmuel decided to not let anyone befall by Husans blade if he could help it.

This continued on until Schmuel came across Husan on one of the higher levels of the building.

He was about to ask Husan how he had faired till now, yet before Schmuel could ask, Husan made quick work of the few guards that started shooting in their direction.

Schmuel watched closely as Husan launched himself forward, forcing a large deal of power into his legs so he could slice apart the guards as quick as possible.

Seeing the guards drop like flies after one another, again and again, until Husan was left standing in his vision.

"… None of suffered…

Now… and before…" Husan said as he showed his back to Schmuel.

He waited for Schmuel to attack out of anger for harming his countrymen, yet the words that came out of Schmuels mouth weren't anything he'd ever thought would be said to Husan.

"… Thank you… prick…" Husan smirked under his helmet before walking towards the end of the expansive floor and broke down the door that led into the last office.

As they entered the office, both of them quickly started gathering all of the relevant information and documents they could before the clone squadrons arrived.

"… Is this his room?" Husan asked as they were about to leave the office room and head down to meet the person leading the clone squadron.

"Mm… that's uncles office…" Schmuel thought about Leib, his dear uncle who'd raised him and brought him up to be the unstoppable operative he was today.

Not wanting to share anymore words between each other, they both silently made their way down to the ground floor, taking the stairs.

.

They weren't the only ones conducting missions throughout the Virtual World, as the tasks were increasingly tougher with every completed quest.

Vishal, formerly of M.I.6, and Luka, of FSB, were working on taking down their nation's intelligence agencies as well as particular infrastructure which was going to be rebuilt or improved upon by Esmond and the A.I Spirits.

Unlike Schmuel and Husan, they were vicious and ruthless in their mission, not caring for anyone they came across.

Neither cared for the ethics or morals of what they were doing and instead focused on getting the job done so they could be done with the gruelling missions.

At this point in their training within the Military Educational Training Pods, they were going up against impossible odds and still walking away victorious.

Everyone in the Pods had picked up on the absurd challenges that were coming their way, such as parachuting down into Area 51 before converting the base into an operational base that could be used further on.

The Fett Clone Commanders were closely watching everyone currently in the Virtual World, astonished the recruits were exceeding their expectations and going forward onto make them feel a little worried they might fall behind in ability.

Esmond told them to go and train like the others if they felt their skills were falling behind.

Some had already taken up the offer and immediately started training, however they were mixed into new teams that consisted of all sorts of people within the squad.

They were a little behind compared to the others, who'd been training for a while now, the new squads that included the Fett Clones, who were joined with by members of the Great Warring Clans and the Yautja.

.

Back in the cabin, Esmond was relaxing in his bedroom wondering about his next power move to take across Earth since Carter was taking care of the work on the Moon and Mars.

Now that they were partially mapped, Carter and the other A.I Spirits could send over drones and droids to get the work done.

Most of it already was handled by Carter but once the new A.I Spirit, Celeste was ready to start working outside of the A.I World, she would be in charge of creating and managing the Stellar Fleet of the Empire.

She would also manage the deployment and traffic control of outer space shipping lanes.

Celestes work would be directed mainly in the space but as the mapping of the Solar System increased, her job would expand outside of the space.

While enjoying his whisky produced from within the space, Gabriel appeared with news that disturbed his Zen.
