Chapter 86 - Silent War: Amelia vs. Mei

"After he killed your family, what happened to you?"

"Urgh… I was dragged down to the dungeon and experimented on…" Rahzil couldn't understand how Esmond was so nonchalant about death.

Even bring up the death of a companion's family wouldn't be a simple conversation, but Rahzil just couldn't believe how Esmond made it sound to be a normal occurrence.

Rahzil thanked his fortunes Esmond had opened up and told him about his past lives.

It was the only thing that helped Rahzil understand Esmond better for who he was.

After what he'd heard from Esmond so far, Rahzil couldn't understand how the man's mind hadn't given up and gone mad.

If Esmond knew what was going through Rahzils mind, he would have had a stone-cold expression, since the man wouldn't be wrong.

.

"When they were trying to get information out of me, some person entered my cell one night.

First, they stabbed me, killing me on the stop and then brought me back using Dark Magic, making into a Low Born Lich.

I wanted to kill and destroy the bastard who transformed me into a Lich, but I couldn't find who it was, and, in the end, I decided to gather my strength, creating an underground lair.

There were plans to overthrow the Trika Empire, but I gave up on them by the time I had created the 12 Magic Core Binding.

Wells was dead and his children were long gone too.

A new era had risen, and I had no animosity with them, so I left and eventually came out to the cave once I was done with the chaos of the capital."

It turned out Rahzil had created an organisation within the capital city once he turned into a Lich and used it to continue his researching.

Now that he had a skeleton body, it was time for him both learn how to control it and learn everything about the Dark Element, so he was busy for quite the time.

"Wait… why didn't you form the Magic Core Bindings at every 100 levels?" Esmond heard everything else Rahzil had said clearly but his mind was focused on the lack of Magic Circles.

"Meh… whats the point…

I only ever formed one when the energy within my Core had changed form from a gaseous state to liquid.

Speaking of which… how far have you come along?"

Rahzil wasn't overly concerned with forming Magic Core Bindings since he had more than enough Mana Energy which let him destroy anyone that came in his path.

But the topic had made him curious about Esmond who'd so far seemed to possess some magical strength, but he already had a Core that was better than anything Rahzil had seen before.

"None…"

"Huh?!" like a sucker punch to the jaw, Rahzils face hung down open wide, completely blown out of his mind when he heard Esmonds explanation that his stats enabled him with a great amount of power for his level.

With that and other added help along the way, Esmonds strength was insane in comparison to anything Rahzil had come across ever before.

"Please tell me… you've at least begun to form the liquid state of your Internal Energy?"

"Hm… Its happening as we speak…" Esmond explained the powers of the Xrians and what they could do within his body, leaving Rahzil further stunned at the sheer 'thing' Esmond was.

"While I would like to say hold off… you are more powerful than anyone at your age and level…

Holding off till at least level 100 would be ideal but in saying that… work on condensing your energy till them."

Esmond listened closely to Rahzils advice before wondering about the internal changes occurring.

The Pure Dark Mana Essence River was being sent directly to the Artus Anima Star and being burned by the energy of the blazing star as his Pure Dark Mana Spark was absorbing all the Essence burned by the Star.

.

Eventually Esmond got up and left to shower so he could arrive on time for his first day at uni.

Amelia had already texted him and asked to be picked up on the way, which meant Esmond couldn't just open a gate from the space right near the campus.

Dressed, and ready to go, Esmond opened a gate to his home in Adelaide and was going to call a cab to pick him up, but ask he left the space, Carter's voice entered his mind.

'Hold up…

Head over to the garage first.' Carter didn't explain any further, leaving Esmond to wonder what there might be in the garage, but once Esmond opened the door to the garage, he had to hold his breath back for a moment.

"Hello… My Lord…" Reigos said while in the form of Zathras automotives first car model, the Dawn.

The name was representing the company as bring in the new era of vehicles and engines that would transform the car industry.

Dawn was designed by Rosie, Archie, Gabriel, and Esmond in part.

Shaped to have smooth angles with a sleek design to allow airflow that would provide the downforce to keep the car gripped to the ground.

Designed to be a two-seater, Esmond got into the driver seat and watched the steering wheel withdraw itself to give him more space to sit.

Placing his bag on the back seat, which was essentially non-existent, Reigos opened the garage door and reversed out while Carter provided him the address for Amelias home.

.

"There is a functional version of Dawn within the space?!"

Reigos just told Esmond how he was able to transform into the Zathra Dawn car model.

It seemed like Carter or someone else had already built a prototype for Reigos to scan.

Funnily enough, Carter had Reigos scan all sorts of vehicles and have them added to his database, making it so that Reigos could provide Esmond all sorts of support in the middle of combat.

"Reigos, just make sure you don't speak and if you do make it seem like a speaking car system which supports the driver." Esmond wanted to make sure there would be no slip ups with Amelia around, so he wanted to get everything across to Reigos beforehand.

Even the driving would be left to Esmond mostly to make it seem like he was in control while Reigo did the driving.

.

"Hey Essie!!" Amelias adorable bubbly face came into view as Esmond moved the window down.

"Good morning Melli, now get in!

Let's get some breakfast before our class." Amelia happily got into the car and asked Esmond about his little trip to Thailand.

She was annoyed that Esmond didn't take her along at first but once her father told her it was for business, Amelia got over it and instead just wanted to know he was safe.

James knew of Daniel and Ruby leaving and so did his family.

Amelia worried Esmond was alone and lonely, so she wanted to be by his side, but her father had told her to be someone of value when standing beside him.

"There is no point for you to stand next to him and act all pretty and dumb.

That kid can get whatever girl he wants honestly, so don't think your special my child.

Make yourself someone he can't be without… that'll make him run into your arms."

James did his best to give his daughter a head start, as he already felt that there would be competitors arising soon enough.

He wasn't wrong…

Amelia didn't have to wait long, as she came across her first competitors in their first class.

.

"Hello, is it ok if I take a seat here?" a gorgeous East Asian woman with long black hair, and deep violet eyes with gave her an alluring charming.

Her curvaceous body with the skinny skirt and buttoned shirt, the girl brought out a secretary like charm, completely drawing the attention of the masked Esmond.

'Fuck… me…' Esmond thought while staring at the beauty lady asking to take the spare seat next to him.

Since Esmond and Amelia arrived earlier than others, they were able to get a seat in the classroom before the others around the middle.

There was a spare seat between another group of random who seem to be friends and with Esmond sitting closest to them, he didn't expect anyone to bother him.

But seeing the gorgeous girl who had also drawn the attention of the surrounding students of both sexes.

Her voice was quite soothing and pleasant to the ears for many.

Some had even started praying that Esmond said no, but before he could even answer, the last person anyone expected to speak, answered for Esmond.

"Hey! there's a seat free on my side.

By the way I'm Amelia and this rude idiot is Esmond.

It's nice to meet you."

Amelia had smacked Esmond on the back of the head once she noticed how lost he was staring at the stunning black-haired girl with spotless skin.

There didn't seem to be a speck of make-up on the girls face from what Amelia could see however it just caused her to feel a little insecure.

Unconsciously she'd actually squeezed Esmonds leg, who instantly become aware of his leg feeling some pressure.

While watching the girl move past him and take a seat beside Amelia on the far side, Esmond thought he saw the girl seem annoyed that she had to sit beside Amelia.

Not thinking too deeply about the matter, Esmond let it slide, however he kept the matter in the back of his mind to keep a look out for her behaviour in the future.

.

"I'm Mei, but you can call me May.

It's lovely to meet you both, Amelia and Esmond…" May dragged Esmond named out a little in a seductive tone.

Amelia was left frowning on the inside by what she heard but not wanting to be the crazy chick that had an outburst on the first day, Amelia kept her thoughts to herself.

However, it soon become a long dreadful day having to deal with May all day as their classes aligned together.

Another thing that seemed to annoy Amelia was the news that both Mays and Esmonds classes were the same for the week, meaning they would be together often.

Finding it unbelievable, Amelia quickly realised that if she wanted this man, it wasn't going to be a simple task.

Determined to make Esmond hers, Amelia started a slient war with May for Esmonds affection, who in fact was none the wiser about what was happening right now.
