"… *Sigh* I need more information guys…
What do you mean when you say you've made and found a big 'oopsie'…?"
Esmond massaged his weary head after hearing a poor excuse from Janet who was giving him a run-down of what was found so far through the analyse of the information and work on the projects in the Lab.
Tulluan was standing to the side, currently focused on supervising him personal team of scientists that worked exclusively in Esmonds personal lab.
He had yet to give Esmond his report on the matter since it was easier to show the results than explaining in Tulluans experience.
"Lord Esmond, come have a look at this…" Tulluan said once everything was ready.
Janet was relieved Tulluan took over since she had no way of explaining what the scientists of the institute had found.
.
Esmond watched the monitors display a battle armour suit which seemed similar to the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armour design, with some appearance changes.
The armour seemed sleeker and sharper in appearance, though it seemed to be done on purpose.
It took him some time to notice at first, but soon enough Esmond picked up on the changing appearance of the armour.
"… Nanites…" Esmond noticed the suit didn't have a jetpack at first, however it wasn't like the one of the Mjolnir Powered Assault Armour.
Instead, the nanites created smaller jets around the limbs, giving the wearer greater control over the jets and the ability to use them during combat to a greater extent than previously possible.
"Was this honestly why I was called?" Esmond felt quite annoyed since he didn't consider this to be a reason for him to arrive within the space so urgently.
"Actually, Lord Esmond… I'll let our newest armour specialist do the talking." Tulluan called the Us'Theraei scientist forward named Raqsa.
"My Lord…" the towering 7 foot, 3 inches Us'Theraei said as he went down to kneel, however Esmond stopped him with his control over the Lifeforce.
Taking a good look at Raqsa, Esmond noticed the scientist was a hulking figure with biceps the size of watermelons.
Esmond wondered why this man wasn't within the armed forces, currently training, but he found out from Raqsa that their race genes gave them certain natural abilities.
One happened to be strength and if you were lucky, it came together with a body like Raqsas'
He happened to also be from a noble family who happened to serve the last leaders of their clan and Raqsa family were known for their contribution in both warfare and scientific advancements.
While being the youngest in his family, Raqsa was allowed to pursue more scientific work rather than combat, though due to his family position, he'd seen plenty of warfare.
.
"What have you found Raqsa?"
Esmond finally asked after Raqsa offered to participate in the war if it was required but refused since Esmond wanted him here in the institute, though he maintained that Raqsa keep up with his training.
"Lord Esmond, by examining the information that's been processed so far regarding Reaper technology, the Ecumene technology, including what he found from the UNSC projects is quite unbelievable.
The ODIN Armour Suit program was far from production because it required technology the UNSC didn't have.
Going through the Ecumene tech that was retrieved from the Halo Installation, we discovered they used Hard Light, or formally identified as boson-photon field, which lets light harden into a solid state.
Combining it with Reaper tech, where we found it would be possible to create a synthetic-organic armour which could be built into the body, just like another lay of skin.
Depending on the level of the 'skin' the wearer puts on, they could switch to ones for combat, engineer, and other areas of specialty.
But the key part of the ODIN armour is the nanites it uses and what we've found is that we could combine the technology together and possibly… use it within the SPARTAN program…"
Raqsa continued to explain the Hardlight could be synthetically and organically recreated within the soldiers' body, enhancing the body anatomy to a level beyond the original projections of the SPARTAN program.
It also meant the connection the Solider would have with their armour suit would far exceed the basic neutral interface.
The suit could, if made with a nanite composite, be used beyond the capacity of warfare.
Huginn and Muninn, were two experimental suits of the three created within the ODIN Armour suit program.
The two suits were designed to be utilised, specifically in espionage since the nanites could offer the wearers control over their suits which could change their appearance based on the requirements.
Though it would continue to offer the best protection possible, and in Esmonds opinion they would be perfect for the hitmen clones as well as the Shadow Intelligence Agency operatives.
.
"Is this the sole reason I am here?"
While Esmond was impressed with the armour and the addition of the alien tech to improve the SPARTAN program also, he didn't believe this to be enough of a reason for his physical presence.
"Actually, this is why we called you…" Tulluan said, before the monitors displayed a walkthrough of all the technology they'd adapted and improved over the last few days within the Virtual Labs.
Esmond watched closely as the video showed various military vehicles like the Warthog had been refitted with an improved Power cell engine, and Hard light shielding with an armour upgrade.
Multiple versions of the all-terrain vehicle were present from warfare with anti-weaponry mounted on the back to being used as part of the military police and other patrol units.
It wasn't the only vehicle to get an upgrade with the EDI UCAV and F99s receiving the same attention as the warthog, with better armour, improved systems, and weaponry.
However, to Esmond it all seemed… half assed…
"Why are we focusing on improving previous tech and not creating something unique?
This will be the third stage of our armed forces on Earth, so I don't want any fanatic fan noticing we have a fully functional Pelican in our inventory for example."
Tulluan and the other scientists all had a similar smile and grin on their face like they expected this kind of reaction from Esmond.
Even Esmond found it puzzling why everyone was grinning, however he didn't need to wait long before he got an answer.
.
"That's why I am here!" Rosie proclaimed while posing as an anime hero.
She'd been binging some shows for inspiration and another art style, however she quickly became obsessed with anime, very quickly decorating her room with various posters and artwork.
Esmond didn't know, but Rosie had started making her own manga comics which she wanted an anime adaption for, even chatting with other family members for their opinion.
Everyone was very supportive of her decision, so Rosie had even uploaded some artwork of her favourite shows like Bleach, Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Gundam
Rosie showed Esmond her designs that were uploaded to the monitors for everyone to see.
.
"As you can see, I've remodelled the current ship classes and vehicles that we will have in the Tertius Fleet, or simply known as the Third Fleet.
Currently the Second Fleet, which you designed Esmond, is shaped using a hexagon pattern weaved into the materials though its obvious to see, even with the coats of painting.
The First Fleet that will be used by Phantom Security Industries in the beginning of April is designed to appear as modern as possible, with some slight changes to make it seem older than they in fact are.
The equipment on all of these Fleets is a different story since everything is constantly being upgraded and improved.
Only once the First Fleet is deployed will we pause its continuous equipment improvement unless important changes need to be made.
.
Now that've said that the Tertius Fleet will be receiving a complete makeover when it comes to appearances.
For example…" Rosie changes the monitors to show a bulky tank similar to the M808 Scorpion Main Battle Tank of the UNSC Armed Forces.
The tank had two tier weapon system with a main cannon and a machine gun with two operators.
Because it was on tracks, the tanks moveability was a problem, but its ceramic titanium armour gave it vital protection against enemy projectiles.
What Rosie did was remove the tracks that strained the tanks movement ability and created spherical tires which used an electromagnetic pulse system to both act as the steering force for the wheels and suspension.
It gave the operators 360 control of their movement, while also allowing them to speed along the surface at greater pace than before with vastly improved control.
The main cannon was also changed to a triple cannon configure with a supercooled fluid system incorporated to help manage the heat build-up.
Rosie also changed the gun turret from a single machine gun to include several smaller automated systems to be placed around the structure of the tank.
Only the main gun could be utilised by the second operator if they wished, otherwise it could be left to the automated systems.
She also added Hardlight shielding to the tank, with it being able to protect the vehicle from all sides of attack.
Because they would be using Power Cell engines for the tank, plus the Energy Sphere connection system would be active, allowing the tanks to constantly have the shields running.
The leaner design came around because Rosie began to remove copious amounts of unnecessary weight that restricted the agility.
Rosie had another design with High Powered Plasma Cannons, though it wouldn't be brought out immediately for warfare, it would be great as an anti-armour, anti-fortification, and anti-aircraft support tank.
She had done similar work on all the other vehicles that would be utilised by the Armed Forces, even creating a Starfighter which combined the F99 unmanned combat ariel vehicle and the EDI UCAV into a new jet named SF01.
While the F99 and EDI UCAV were unmanned vehicles, the SF01 allowed for two pilots, with one taking control over the starfighter and the other supporting with radar and weaponry.
Considered as a light starfighter, Esmond had to pause for moment when he saw the dimensions of the jet.
At a length of 18 metres, with a width of 13.8 metres and depth of 4.8 metres, the starfighter in Esmonds eyes was more than capable of utterly destroying his enemies on Earth and make quick work of the Ashtrok Empire.
.
The thing was, Esmond hadn't told anyone the scale of the foes they would be going up against in 2050, instead he told everyone it was a Galactic Empire.
Now for the Thazukraans, when they heard 'Galactic Empire', they assumed it could be someone on the level of the empires that were close to their star system.
All the other residents had the same thoughts as the Thazukraans and thought about the powerhouses that either wiped them out or possibly could.
However, none of them knew the true strength of the Ashtrok Empire beside Esmond and Carter, who already knew that with the level of tech they had within their hands, it wouldn't be a problem to completely overthrow the empire.
The main problem was the number of combatants Esmond had right now was nothing in comparison to the empire.
It would take him quite a few decades and maybe even a few centuries to the have the same number of Armed Forces, but with the cloning tech coming along nicely and the droids were far ahead of their time, it was becoming more likely Esmond could launch a massive attack.
Though he wouldn't since there was no need to do something so reckless as the Empire was bound to call for reinforcements from allying Kingdoms or Empires for help, and Esmond didn't believe he would defend against them.
By the time it came for him to step into the mix of Galactic politics, Esmond wanted control over the darker side of the Galactic powers that control the universe.
