Chapter 10 - [New Quest!]

'Ahh… whats the point man.'

Hayaan Omar Dubad, a refugee who'd left his motherland, Somalia, for a better life, unfortunately his fate wasn't as lucky he thought it might have been after leaving the land that brought him pain.

Arriving in Madagascar by boat, leaving from the Port of Mogadishu, Hayaans life went from terrible to outright unbearable as many of those that escaped with him to the boats were caught by the locals and made into working slaves.

Some earned enough so they could buy certain things like food and water, but many were left to fend for themselves.

Hayaan, not wanting to die, escaped one night from his imprisonment, and escaped to some town where some missionary christens who saw the poor condition and health of Hayaan took him in.

They covered his treatment and sent him outside of Madagascar, as the missionary group were part of a charity group with connections to the UN, so Hayaan thought he would settle in some western country.

Sadly, after receiving some treatment at a military hospital the UN peacekeepers had set up next to one of the refugee campsites, Hayaan was told to leave and find his own way to manage himself from now on.

He never expected his life to drop down even further than it already had at that point, but some of his family's old enemies were within the same campsite, making things much more difficult for him to survive in.

Hayaan never expected everything would change returning home from overseas, having studied at the University of Cairo and Istanbul to receive his bachelor's in political science, the prospect of going home for the amount he was supposed to be paid enticed him enough to leave Turkey.

But the second he landed in Somalia, everything changed with El-Shabaab coming in and taking over the city he was residing in at the time, leaving him with little option but to escape as he was working against the radical group, starting the spiral fall of his life.

.

"Ahh… HAYAAN OMAR DUBAD?!"

One of the supervisors within the campsite called out his name, however he was too dazed out that he didn't realise.

Only when someone threw a rock at him and he awoke from his stupor, did he finally hear the voice call out for him.

"Yes sir…?"

"Get up and follow me…"

Hayaan thought it might be a routine check up with the doctors or some conversation with the supervisors that would sometimes happen every few weeks.

However, as they were walking towards where the tents and housing for the supervisors were, Hayaan noticed they were heading in the direction of the large white shipping containers to the far side of the campsite.

The closer the site of the containers came in his line of sight, the more anxious and nervous Hayaan became.

It stemmed down to people being whisked away from the campsite and taken to the containers wouldn't return.

In the 6 months Hayaan had been living at the campsite, over 15 people were taking to the containers to never be heard from or seen again.

Initially worried something might happen to him, Hayaan soon calmed down by himself as the one thought he last expected came rushing into his mind.

'At least they'll end my misery…'

..

.

"Sit down and wait patiently."

Hayaan was left alone in a sealed room with white paint everywhere, blinding him a little as there was a little light seeping into the room from the roof, making it a little uncomfortable within the room as the heat built up.

He wasn't waiting long, however it felt much longer than the few minutes he was waiting for someone to arrive.

All that was on his mind anyway was his inevitable death that was bound to come for him now that he was held within the white shipping containers.

"Hey?!

You alright their buddy?"

The official who just arrived brushed his deep honey brunette hair back, clicking his fingers, trying to garner Hayaans attention, who kept thinking about his death.

"Now… I've gone through your profile and everything I found tells me someone like you shouldn't be holed up here young man…"

Hayaan couldn't believe what he was hearing, thinking this is a part of the mental games to be played first before his death would happen.

"Furthermore, I've learnt you moved back to Somalia to help the 'United Somalia' which was a smaller political-militant group that, unfortunately, was cleanly wiped right out by El-Shabaab…"

Everything he was hearing now wasn't anything new that he hadn't heard already from his previous interrogations by the UN supervisors.

They would try and find something new about the organisation through him, but he knew nothing of the inner workings, having only been with the group for less than one week.

After that El-Shabaab came through and swept through the organisation, leaving very little behind that could be investigated to know how things went down.

.

"Everything here on these papers tells me you are an upstanding person who just happened to be wedged in a bad situation…"

His sounds may have seemed like they were in his favour, but Hayaan knew better than to listen and assume he might be freed.

Plenty of times he'd thought he would be freed from the nightmare within the campsite that tore through his mind and body every day.

"I have a friend… a new friend if you would like to call it that, but he tells me that there is something special about you…"

Hayaan looked up in fear, seeing the broad smile across the white mans face, instant fear filled his heart that he would be sold off as a slave or something just as bad.

While wanting to feel from the creepy man smiling at him like he was going to devour his soul, there was nowhere for him to escape to, being bound to the desk and locked within the room across from the mad man.

"Pppleasse sssir… I ddon't wannntt to diee..."

"Argh… *sigh* who said I was going to kill you buddy?

Now have a drink of water, take some deep breaths and then… let's get chatting."

The person across from Hayaan felt a little guilty seeing the poor condition of his body, with barely any muscle mass or body fat, all that remained was his bones sticking out with a thin layer of skin over them.

There was really nothing he could ever do for all these people affected in refugee camps, but it was great seeing someone that had no clue what laid ahead of them.

Hell, he was someone of the same sort, being abandoned by those he'd given his everything too.

"Look, you definitely don't believe me and that is fine…

At the end of the day, all I can do is let you know and leave the rest in your hands.

But let me leave you with one thing… I really believe you went to Somalia in the hopes to help your people and nation."

Hayaan had tears following down his face, though there weren't many tears because of his malnourishment.

The strangers' words were hit a soft spot in his heart, making Hayaan wonder about his nation that'd been stricken with civil war for decades.

He'd lost track most of his family during the wars, with only his little brother remaining behind, living in Turkey, currently studying at the Istanbul University.

.

"Here…"

The stranger passed over some papers to Hayaan, "I know you can read English perfectly fine, so have a read of the papers before asking me some questions."

Letting Hayaan read through the contents on the papers, the stranger poured himself a cup of coffee while thinking about his other duties and busy schedule lined up.

'Fuck me… I need a secretary or some shit to deal with my days…'

He was wondering about his own problems while looking at the wall, totally ignorant of the shocked Hayaan with jittery hands, reading through the unbelievable information on the papers.

.

"Yyyou wanttt meee tttoo be President?!"

Hayaans voice continued to break as he tried to get the words out of his mouth.

"Bingo bango boo!

You sir are correct!"

The stranger tried to lighten the mood with his goofy attiutde, yet it made Hayaan feel insignificant and worry again but about the conditions of his life if he was made President with the strangers help.

"Hayaan… I am a stranger who has yet to say his name and I've offered you the position of President of your motherland into your hands…

You have every right to be suspicious about me and the person I work for.

But I'll say this much… if you want to be remembered for eons to come as an important figure for the next stage of humanities growth, then tell me now so we can get out of here and get started…"

..

.

'Is it done?'

"Hmm… *puff* he looked troubled for most of it, but he looked much better now…"

Anton smiled as watched the unconscious Hayaan enter the helicopter, hooked up to all sorts of medical machines, monitoring his health.

He, other hand, was smoking some cigars he'd come across in Ethiopia that were gifted to him by a friend.

In fact, they tasted horrible, and he felt like vomiting up his guts, but he continued to smoke the cigar with a smug look.

Happy that his hard work paid off and he found the person his boss was looking for.

And… he got something free today, even if it tasted like shit…"

.

'Fine… get him patched up and ready to go.

He'll need to be back in Somalia soon to build his reputation.

Also… I need you to sort out another thing for me…'

Esmond was sitting on a train in Europe, already making more plans to deal with the immense opportunities in the future.

"Sure Boss, whatever you need."

'Very well, I need you to look into a series of European nations that will be affected by the crash…'

Esmond had already informed his latest recruits about a major event in the future so they could make the right decisions for their families if they would be affected deeply by the crash.

Not just that, he also helped organise opportunities for them to make their own profit from the crash.

There would be plenty who would come out extremely profitable from the crash, so Esmond didn't consider it a bad choice for his recruits as it would make him look better in the eyes of his men.

.

His simple gesture was received well by his newest recruits, as they all started to find and search for all contacts to look for people that might join them.

So far, an extra 50 or so people were brought in within 24 hours of his meeting in Paris at the clubhouse, causing Esmond to bother Carter with organising a property somewhere all the new recruits to travel to.

From there, he would bring them over to the Spatial Ark Land.

Some wanted their families to come along as well, so within the space Carter also prepared their lodging, with the knowledge everything would be hard to explain if someone asked.

But for now, Carter suggested Esmond lie and tell the recruits that the space was a private island.

Actually, Esmond asked Carter to find him a private island they could purchase, but he was held off from taking such a decision for now because of the huge mark up in price that was surely bound to fall.

His opinion made sense, as Esmond couldn't draw more attention to himself and buying an island would definitely make people search for him.

Carter tried to prevent this from happening by creating an intricate network that didn't connect this business varieties together, and instead made it appear like several separate owners.

Of course, some of the businesses would merge together and be organised under a parent company, but there would be some that wouldn't be restructured under the parent company and left on their own.

'Phantom' was the name of the private military company they had created, with Anton as the CEO of the company, Esmond could work from the shadows silently, removing as much suspicious and trail of his actions.

..

.

"Carter… do you think this is a smart choice?

Feels like this will lead to more chaos and trouble than anything else…"

Currently on a train going across the Ukraine, Esmond was trying to wrap his head around the new quest the system had given him out of the blue while he was sightseeing in Paris.
