The Long family had a lot to thank for after going through a distressing period of time. After enjoying the sumptuous dinner, the First Madam and Long Zhao Feng worked on the proposal to gain full custody over Long Yan. Long Zhao Feng again offered to go with her the next morning to submit a petition but she again refused him.
"This is something I have to do on my own," she stated. "If I always hide behind a man, how can I convince the King that I can take care of A-Yan on my own? I will fight on behalf of my husband to continue his bloodline. Feng'er, no need to worry about me."
