Xiao Yue's head throbbed hurtfully. The pain threatened to split her head into two. Blinded from the pain, she tried to crawl forward to reach Long Zhao Feng and Xi'an. It was hard enough in a narrow confined space, not to mention the prevailing darkness. Only a few rays of morning sunlight served as a light source from above.
"Long Zhao Feng...?" she called in hesitation.
"Here," came the weak reply.
Xiao Yue crawled to where Long Zhao Feng was.
The man was lying on his left side against a giant protruding root while breathing heavily, his eyes closed as large sweat beads formed on his forehead. Xiao Yue draped her arms around him, careful not to touch the wound at his back.
"Long Zhao Feng, are you alright? Can you hang in there a little bit more? I will get help, okay?"
